The Grand Hyatt makes a Grand Impression when you enter the lobby, and I was pleased to be able to check in early (although I did have to wait an hour to do so), but it was not such a Grand Experience after that. There was one irritating aspect after another in the room. For example, the dressers' lower drawers... More

I stumbled upon this hotel while I was browsing online and fell in love with how it looked. In about an hour, with some back-and-forth with the boyfriend, I had planned a trip to Washington D.C., and booked a room in the Grant Hyatt. It had an inconspicuous entrance, but the lobby was so gorgeous. The employees were polite and... More

We recently stayed here and had either very good experiences or very bad ones. The check in staff upon our arrival were very friendly. I used the concierge a few times, and he was also friendly and helpful. (Visit them in person as they don't answer the phone often--probably busy helping guests.) Ask him/her for a neighborhood map, which gives... More

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt for business recently, and I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is clean, comfortable, relatively quiet, and nicely appointed. The atrium is lovely, too. In fact, I could look out on the atrium from the windows in my guest room. Some of the other positives: --Great location. I walked almost everywhere I needed to go,... More

Decided to take the family to DC for an overnight trip. Found the Hyatt at a great rate. The common areas are nice. We got a room on the inside, where the windows open to a view of the atrium. At one time the sliding doors look to have opened to where you could stand on the small balcony but... More

Last stayed at this hotel 12 months ago, and during the intervening time, not much has changed - I still give it 4 stars/blobs. Its in a convenient location, easy to get to via car, taxi or metro and there are a large number of reasonable restaurants within a handful of blocks in either direction. This time I ended up... The Hyatt is located close to all of the great attractions and is a lovely hotel. I didn't have any trouble with thin walls, but it is gigantic. There's a lovely "Lagoon" area below the main floor, and the food is pretty good through room service. The beds were lovely, and while there wasn't much of a view, the location... More

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt Washington for several days at the end of December. It's a great location for sightseeing as it is within a short walking distance to many attractions ... the National Portrait Gallery, Ford's Theater, International Spy Museum, Verizon Center, National Archives and more. It also has an underground walkway to the metro station, so getting... More

My husband and I were looking for a deal to spend one night in DC for a theater visit. The Grand Hyatt had a great location to the White House, The Mall, museums... etc. However, the $99 rate we got certainly presented itself in the location of the room. We were placed on a floor with a group of teenagers.... More

The Grand Hyatt truly has a grand lobby. It is gigantic and even a little confusing with lots of things going on (it took me a couple of seconds to figure out where the reception desk was). I was also blown away by the staff at the Grand Hyatt. I really judge hotels based on their staff, and I definitely... More
