On the plus side: the Mall was close and the metro/bus were easily accessible. The view on the Potomac river from the room was nice and the staff was friendly. had breakfast here...food was made to order, reasonably priced and good. coffee refills were freee (coffee excellent)...staff was helpful and friendly, room clean, bathroom very clean and warm. i will look into staying here the next time i am in washington

The Channel Inn is old but well maintained. Room was clean and AC worked well. Shower was strong and plenty of hot water. Reception was quick and friendly. TV was old, but didn't use it. Free Parking was an absolute plus. Food, as mot hotels in DC, was expensive. Coffee not too good. Will definitely stay again.

I was very happy with my room, it was spacious, good beds, balcony with a nice view on the river with many boats. The bathroom was a little low (for long people), but further good organised with double wash facilities. The hotel was ca.10 minutes walk from the metro.
