The rating is poor, 'cause for 25 $ in a dorm you can't expect much. On the upside: bathroom etc. rather clean. Area okay.; lots of bars, restaurants. 40 minutes walk to center (White House, Memorials et.) Cool/relaxed people (other guests). Downside: Staff. ASK FOR THE THINGS THEY CLAIM ON THEIR PAGE! Otherwise you won't get 'em 'cause they don't... More

All of the other reviews are correct. The guy at the desk (the guy with long hair), calls Asian people chinks, black people te n-word, and freaks out everytime someone rings the doorbell. Oh, and he talks a lot about fornication. Really inappropriate. Rooms are filthy and people steal...there are no lockers in the rooms. Stay away!

I was in this hostel for two nights. It's on the 2nd and 3rd floor of townhouse. The rooms are pretty packed, i stayed in a room with 6 beds, 3 bunk beds and there was no space to leave your luggage. There are only 2 bathrooms on the 2nd floor but over 20 people on one floor (no kidding... More

Do not stay here! The guy running the hostel is very rude and just weird. The place is dirty and smells awful, I didn't even want to go in the kitchen. My room was supposed to be a girls dorm and I ended up with 3 little guys; I don't have a problem with that, but it wasn't what I... More

So this place is definitely not fancy, looks like a dump even by hostel standards. The bunk beds are stuffed in the rooms but no bedbugs while I was there and managed to grab bathroom and breakfast without problem. The main thing to consider is location in middle of Adams Morgan. It is above a club which plays loud music... More

Myself and a friend booked into the hostel for three nights having looked at their convincing website and previous reviewers' promise of great value accommodation. I knew I'd made a horrible mistake from the moment I stepped through the door. The place is a hovel, a squat of sorts, a place that hygiene, manners and hospitality has long forgot. Do... More

Featured in the Lonley planet guide to the USA we figured this hostel was a pretty safe bet, after all it was just a place for us to leave our bags and sleep. First impressions were that it was really difficult to find, a tiny doorway in the middle of busy street in the middle of Adams Morgan. When we... More

Good community feel at this hostel. Location good - right in the middle of Adams Morgan on the main stretch. A 20 min bus trip to the main sights. The owner was a little strange, often rude and constantly complaining about things. Didn't make you feel at all welcome. Beds were uncomfortable. One of us was covered in bites. Not... More

I stayed here with a friend whilst travelling down the East Coast and felt completely misled by any decent reviews of this hostel. We phoned on the day we arrived to check that we could check in late, around 11.30pm, which the woman on the phone said was fine. We phoned back a little later to check and spoke to... More

This place is the pits, left there an booked in another hostel which is absolutely amazing for the price the 'gallery inn' on Florida ave! Would recommend! Anyway back to the flea pit as that's what it is, I left there with bites not sure if they were fleas or bed bugs! No toilet paper, soap or hand sanitiser, no... More
