I stayed for five nights and found it to be charming with a spotless, spacious room and bath, friendly, helpful staff and excellent breakfasts. Family-owned, the common rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. The very best was the staff person who was there during the day and fixed our breakfasts each morning (except Sunday when the owner served us). Food... More

I stayed here for 3 nights, and it was the best B&B I ever had in the USA. The room I had was spacious and with a private bath/restroom. The canopy bed was comfortable. The breakfast was served with fresh toast or bagels, apparently home cooked at that. I'd say the luxury was better than a lot of hotels usulally... More

We appreciated the decoration that was a classical American basis with a lot of Japanese items (tastefully balanced). The breakfast was served on a big dining table and we had very interesting discussions with the other hotel guests. The personnel was always up for advice and cared a lot about our well being. Personal tip: go for a jogging by... More

I've stayed here a few times now and it has become my stop for DC accommodation. The house is charming, with a lovely little lounge and a happy breakfast on offer every morning. You can have shared or single baths, and the rooms have the feel of an English B&B. The location is not the most convenient since it's a... More

Thanks so much for your kind review! Quick note, one of the innkeepers lives on premise so when the office closes at 8pm there is still someone on sight. Also, if the 10 minute walk doesn't work well for people there is a bus stop a two minute walk away that will take you to the metro! Thanks again for... More

I stay at Taft Bridge roughly once a year for work visits to DC, and could not be convinced to stay elsewhere. It is a charming and quirky combination of turn of the century and Japanese decor. The staff are helpful, friendly and informative. Each room has a unique character. Breakfast is simple, healthy and delicious. A diverse assortment of... More

Found Taft and reserved room on line, but was unsure if made reservation correctly so gave the hotel a call. I was asured all was in order but when went to check out, found that the reservation was for an extra day and "nothing" could be done about it. Overall, stay was OK but check the reservation closely

Recently returned from four nights in DC, chose the Taft because of the location and reviews on TA. After calculating the cost of parking at hotel chains further "out" and the cost of the metro during "peak" times...and the cost of breakfast & coffee for two, it only made sense. We usually travel with a canine companion, however this time... More

My husband and I took a week long trip to DC and were fortunate enough to be guests at the Taft Bridge Inn. What a find! We were delighted! We had a very comfortable, darling room that overlooked the quiant neighborhood. Not only that, we were greeted each morning, by the lovely Jennifer, with a different and delicious breakfast with... Having traveled alone to numerous countries on a work research trip, staying at the Taft Bridge Inn was undoubtedly the best hotel I stayed in on the whole trip. Why? It is in a safe and pretty location, I could walk to everything I needed; the staff were immensely helpful and friendly (far beyond what would be required for good... More
