This is a great Ritz Carlton property. The room was great and the staff was outstanding. I arrived early and they ensured I had a place to work, charge my Blackberry, etc. Absolutely flawless delivery of service. The location is not the most convenient to downtown activities, but if the location is not an issue for you, this is the... More

I traveled to Washington DC for two nights to attend a meeting at the Ritz Carlton in February 2012. Overall, the hotel was very nice--attentive staff, large and luxurious room, and great meeting facilities. I arrived late in the evening. I took the Metro to get to the hotel. The Foggy Bottom Metro stop is very close to the Ritz,... More

A brief trip to DC on short-notice prompted me to select a hostelry I'd not previously patronized since the Willard was not available. Well situated and with a good reputation for a chain, the Ritz-Carlton became the target. Nothing grandiose architecturally, simply well-appointed, very accommodating staff (doormen, desk, concierge). No need for Wi-Fi with my iPad and Android phone. Brief... More

After arriving 6 hours late, at midnight, I checked into the hotel for a one night stay. Was frustrated that iHome clock was stuck on dim, one hour off, and would not play my iPod to sleep by. Chain to lock the door was broken. Manager called my office to apologize. Wireless worked in my room, but same passcode did... More

I highly recommend the Ritz in DC. Every person on the staff went out of their way to make sure we had the best service. Upon arriving, the bellman gave our daughters stuffed animals. The manager sent our girls a carafe of hot chocolate to the room, as a surprise! I suggest booking through Amex Platinum concierge to get $100... More

A wonderful experience. The staff were helpful and pleasant, the room was comfortable and everything I expected and the location was perfect for me. If I had a complaint it was being charged for the use of wifi. More

We had a lovely few nights here. The staff are extremely attentive and pleasant and were nice to the whole family. Having said that, we had a rather rude awakening when we went to use the pool however, where a young woman gave us a pretty blunt brushoff when we turned up with our well-behaved children and were pointedly informed... Quiet part of town with not much nearby is the only negative to this hotel. Rooms are clean, sumptuous, and spacious. Bathroom is well appointed and water pressure in the shower was refreshing. Courtyard view rooms are nice. More

This is a reliable, consistent hotel. Not spectacular but good quality. Food is ok, rooms are good, gym facilities are excellent and it is centrally located. It's probably a bit pricey but you know what are getting. Good quality, no negAtive surprises. More

Was very disappointed with the service and the room decor. Many of the small details here are being missed. More
