I attended a wedding at the Tabard Inn and decided to stay there, as I was traveling alone and the wedding was at night. Bad decision! While the wedding and dinner were lovely, the "experience" at the Inn was not. I had to wait while the sole person on the desk took calls before I could check in. My room... More

We stayed in room 33 at the Tabard Inn, May 21 and 22. It was charming, but the walls are paper-thin. My bed was comfortable, my friend's was sunken in the center and ready for replacement. Our shared bath had hot water but no ventilation and was very steamy. I used it late one night and saw cockroaches....yuck. The food... More

This hotel is in a good neighborhood, in a rather nice, old and quirky style with dark furniture, dark rooms and with a nice overall atmosphere, a good patio (sometimes it is open - sometimes it is not - but when it is it is nice) and an ok restaurant. Some rooms are quite spacious and equipped with really comfortable,... More

We came to DC as part of our honeymoon across the US NYC-DC-SF. We chose the Tabard because we wanted character, we like quirky and we were on a relatively tight budget and wanted to spend money doing things rather than throw it away on swanky hotels. Area: Dupont Circle is great (although the south enterance to the metro is... More

To begin with, the location is fabulous. Near the trendy Dupont Circle area of Washington DC, you can walk everywhere! There are many restaurants and bars in the area, but you don't even need to leave the hotel for a great restaurant and bar experience. The hotel is almost a museum, with every room and common area filled with antiques... More

My wife and I spent eight nights here last month. We had a room with private booth for $195 a night and found it to be good value. The complimentray breakfast is "continental," meaning small; that was actually okay with us as we're not usually breakfast eaters, but be warned. We really liked the house-made granola with yogurt though. The... More

My son and I stayed here for 6 nights and I must say even though it seem to be more adjusted for an adult atmosphere, my 9 year old still had a blast and the customer service was really good. I loved the unique style the room we stayed in had. The whole decor to the hotel was vintage and... More

This place is really cool if you are looking for a non-traditional, non cookie cutter experience. It is really geared toward travelers not tourists if you know what I mean. I liked not having a TV and I enjoyed the quaint claw foot tub. And I expected a walk up-so that didn't phase me. The location was great and I... More

This hotel is in a fantastic location, just off DuPont circle. The hotel is old fashioned, so don't expect a tv in your room. The decor makes you feel like you're in a colonial home and there is a really neat sitting room where you can enjoy a drink. All that said, don't expect to get much sleep at this... More
