This small hotel is a 35minute ferry ride from Auckland and the owner will pick you up and take you the last part of the journey. Perched on a hill the hotel has truly spectacular views over the bay and out to the ocean. It is the type of scenery that cannot be properly reflected in a picture - the... More

Having stayed at a bunch of high-end B&Bs during our 2.5 week honeymoon in New Zealand, we can honestly say that Enclosure Bay was among the best, if not the very best. The views from our balcony (where we had breakfast served one day) were absolutely stunning. Andy was the perfect host: he was more than happy to provide transportation... More

We loved our 2 nights here. The accomodation is great with attention to detail and wonderful views but the best thing is the personal touch from Andy and Jenny - from suggesting the best places to eat to loaning us a car for day and even driving us to get takeaway for dinner as the local pizza place had closed... We stayed here over the Easter weekend 2013. We were warmly welcomed by Andy when we arrived and it made us feel right at home. The Waiheke room was wonderful - spacious, comfortable and an awesome view. Breakfast each morning was lovely and we appreciated nice touches such as Easter eggs and homemade hot cross buns. Andy offered good advice... More

This place is absolutely where you want to stay if you are visiting the Auckland area. It is a short ferry ride (30 min) from Auckland, but a world away from feeling like a city. If you are looking fora few days to go wine tasting and lie on beaches, this is a great spot. A few things about the... More

We choose Enclosure Bay as our final stop on our three week trip including a 14 day cruise from Sydney to Auckland. We were exhausted arriving at the hotel. Andy picked us up from the ferry area, brought us back to our room and from there just cared for us as if we were family. He ensured we had choices... More

We enjoyed amazing views of the island from our room. Andy suggested some perfect places for delicious food and wine experiences. Having a car helped us explore the whole island. A very laid back place to spend a long weekend.

We stayed just the one night in the Little Barrier Room - the room was perfect with an amazing view. Everything was pristine, would be hard to find fault with the quality of the room. Andy was very helpful picking us up from the ferry and made an excellent recommendation for lunch at Casita Miro in Onetangi. My highest recommendation... More

We stayed here two nights before our 18 day cruise through New Zealand and Australia. It was the perfect place to come down and relax after a long plane ride from California. Andy was a great and attentive host who made sure everything was to our satisfaction. One evening he even had his son drive us to a local restaurant... More

Thanks Andy and Jenny. Enclosure Bay was a wonderful stop over on Waiheke. Clean modern accommodation with plenty of space and outstanding ocean views. Well equipped kitchen and balcony that made the most of the scenery. Andy really goes out of his way to be the obliging host including help with transport when possible. Waiheke was definitely worth the two... More
