Arrived late Friday as the sun was setting. Relief host willingly launched the boat so we could put it on a mooring. Thrilled and surprised at the size of our accommodation. Spotless motel and comfortable beds. Stunning beach environment with walks handy. Highly recommended.

This lodge is off the beaten track and instantly on arrival provides a wonderful retreat worlds away from the real world. Wonderful friendlyhosts filling in for owners overseas. Great gourmet pizza and meals available and bar meals at Portage Hotel 15 mins away. Plenty of walks and bays to visit. A must stay on any itinerary

We arrived late in the evening and choosed this place by coincidence . Nice and very cean Units and Appartments! The Hosts are very friendly and helpfull. UNfortunately the restaurant which is 15 minutes driving distance further located was closed. So the owner offered us selfmade Pizza whiich was very good. Perfect location for weddings!

We (my mum and I) stayed here 15 years ago - one of the highlights of the Q Charlotte walkway then as it was this time round. Returning to places once visited and loved can be a mistake as things change. Not Te Mahia, they have kept and added to their natural environment with this beautiful place. We were lucky... More

We stayed one night and were upgraded to a waterfront unit, which was nice. The location is good - . Its a 15 min downhill diversion off the QC track , so you need to climb back up the next day . The room was huge with lots of nice touches including novels which were great on a wet afternoon.... More

A great stay. Awesome views from room. Heaps of thoughtful extra touches. Wonderful massage from nannette. Beautiful garden. Suggest spending a few days there.

We chose a two bedroom unit for our final night on the Queen Charlotte Track. We had made it a long walking day by diverting down to Lochmara Lodge for lunch, so we were quite exhausted by the time we arrived. Couldn't believe how close to the water our room was, billion dollar view?! And we loved the gourmet pizzas... More

Thank you so much to Trevor and Jann for hosting us at Te Mahia Bay Resort for 4 nights in Jan 2012. We stayed in a delightful upstairs heritage unit. The bedrooms were large and comfortable with cute homely touches. The kitchenette was well equipped with everything we needed and more. The bathroom was quirky and more than adequate (although... We stayed here for 5 nights during a family trip to the South Island, we were a party of 11 with a mixture of adults & children. We had a very comfortable unit with all the facilities we needed and it offered us the oportunity to spend lots of quality time all together in the most beautiful setting. We were... More

Myself and my girlfriend stayed at Te mahia Bay resort for just the one night and it was fantastic. We stayed in one of the motel units which was absolutely HUGE and had a double bed, 2 singles, 2 sofas, an en-suite bathroom, a TV and a kitchen (hob not oven). The kitchen is a definate bonus as there is... More
