We stayed at this B and B for a single night in mid-December. It is conveniently located close to the Interislander ferry terminal. The views are blocked by a large motel complex across the road. We paid $130 for a nights accommodation and a continental breakfast. The room was a good size and comfortable although the ensuite was somewhat small.... More

Great location, very clean and comfortable. Caring, helpful management. Picton is worth a longer visit than most people give it. Don't miss taking a boat out to get on the Queen Charlotte walking track, stay over or get picked up later in the day. Great and not too taxing. We just had to return to do some more of this... More

Wonderful place to stay for anyone on a non extravagent budget. Extremely friendly hosts, which really made it for us. Lovely homely feel. Lovely breakfast in a nice living area. Whole property extremely clean, homely, very nicely decorated and professionally upkept. Frontage definitely needs sprucing up, as it doesn't adequately portray the wondeful interior. New managers are working on this.... More

We had a lovely stay at the Admirals Lodge with John and Glory - I believe they were new managers that had only been there a couple of weeks. We found the lodge as we were driving around Picton looking for somewhere to stay and noticed their sandwich board sign with the nights prices on it. We had a clean... More

Read reviews and looked forward to staying here! Very disappointed! We had the Captain's Cabin and were told we wouldn't need/want to leave. There was outside seating but It was raining and there was no indoor seating (except the bed). The outside BBQ had cockroaches in it and little gas - no outside light- had to ask for a pot... More

We stayed in a very characterful room with a four-poster bed but hardly any wardrobe space, just a rail over the fridge! The Lodge is an old building which has been tastefully refurbished. There was free internet but no working guest telephones available. Tasty breakfasts were served by the jovial manager in a pleasant breakfast room. More

Booked this for 1 night to break a long trip in half - so glad we stayed here! A great little place - looks nothing much outside, but BJ was so friendly and helpful, the room was so clean, he had turned the jug on before we got there, and we got breakfast the next morning too! Highly recommend this... More

This little place is easy to pass up. It was charming, very clean, and had some of the friendliest staff I found in all NZ. I was on my way to explore more of the south island and I choose to extend my stay another four day because of this great little town and lodge. Plus they had very good... More

Found this place on the Ferry over as we thought Picton might make a better bet than Blenheim (as it did) as a place to base ourselves in Marlborough. Admiral offered us a good discount for 3 nights and it proved to be a good choice. Doesn't look like much form the outside, however, it has good clean, spacious, redecorated... More

We stayed for a couple of nights, large, very well equiped and set out apartments. Owners will arrange for breakfasts to be brought in if you want them. Ideal as a base for touring. Happy to recommend on that basis. Used the swiss restaurant on the seafront and had a fantastic meal of locally caught red snapper. More
