Myself and my girlfriend stayed at the Picton Campervan park for 1 night recently when visiting Picton. It turned out to be the same if not cheaper than pretty much all the local hostels offering double rooms and you probably got more for your money. The chalet was $70 although we did see a sign outside saying $65 so not... More

It seems all the accomodation in Picton is pricey so I guess this place wasn't too badly priced. However, it was overpriced compared to many other places we stayed in NZ. The bed was a mattress on a frame instead of an ensemble - it seemed uncomfortable. I barely used the bathroom because we got in late and left early... More

One of the Kiwi campsite group, which I feel was the best we stayed in throughout our tour of the south island. Nice compact friendly site with excellent clean and well equipped facilities. We stayed in one of the cabins which was new and well constructed. Cabins could have done with a bit more private outside area space and not... More

Small and clean and a good location if leaving on the ferry but I wouldn't stay any longer than one night. The van spaces are not very private and there are only a few showers. Thankfully we were leaving on the 6:30 ferry so the bathrooms were empty at 5am but I'd imagine the next ferry there could be queues.... More

the park itself is nice - very friendly office, great amenities, well-kept, nice kitchen. but its right next to a very busy street - all the cars, trucks and motorbikes from the ferries landing here drive right past you. it felt like sleeping on a highway! and we are used to noise as we stayed in the wellington waterfront park... We stayed here for 2 nights and were very happy with the facilities - good sized shared kitchen and lounge room and the bathrooms were great. The place was spotless each day and the owners were very helpful and friendly. Sites are a bit close together but we didn't spend much time at the park so it didn't bother us.... More

We stayed for two nights in October in the cabins. The staff were very helpful and welcoming, and the cabins were nice and cosy. They had sufficient heating although we didnt need much. The rooms are modern and very clean. The bathrooms were also very clean, they are thouroughly cleaned every day. Perfect place to stay to see picton as... More

We booked two nights here on one of the Powered Sites. The park is very clean and nicely laid out on gravel pitches with grass either side and picnic tables. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. All the facilities were clean and the laundry was reasonably priced. They also had a dump station available to use. It's in a... More

We stayed here twice - once during Aug 2011 and once in Feb 2012, both times were great. We stayed here for one night to get the ferry in the morning. The rooms are very modern, warm, clean and great value for money. We'll always stay here when visiting Picton.
