We stayed at Room A1. Great views, very cosy room. Unexpectedly spatious room with traditional architecture and furniture, fireplace with the atmosphere of another era but also with all modern comforts (A/c, LCD TV, satellite tv).... Delicious breakfast and friendly staff!!! More

We had a room overlooking the town square which is a amazing location. The rooms are good (who cares about a bathroom, you're on holiday!), services was excellent and we recommend this to anyone wishes to make the most of their time at the lovely and unique Momemvasia More

Nice location, in the heart of Old Town but, uncomfortable bed, I had a terrible backache in the morning! The bathroom was not good and the service quite arrogant. It is a touristic area people should learn how to treat customers... Prices high for what it offers... More

I just stayed in the Byzantino for two nights. I had a beautiful room overlooking the main square in town. I found the hotel staff more than friendly, engaging, and accommodating. I really don't know how I could've had a better experience while staying in Monemvasia. I've read a previous review regarding beds, bathrooms, etc. I think it is unfair.... More

In real estate, they say "location is everything." This is not not necessarily the case with hotels. The case in point being the Byzantino in Monemvasia. Yes, as noted in many posts, it is located on the square in the old city, which is great. Unfortunately, superlatives end there. The bed experienced in this hotel was the worst in many,... More

With all due respect to your opinion, I would like to take this opportunity to address your grievances. We would have been more than happy to accommodate you in a double room with an XL double bed more in keeping with your needs, if that had been mentioned to us at the time of your booking. Keep in mind that... More

PROS The easiest hotel to reach within the old city of Monemvasia: you do not have to walk a lot or to climb too many stairs. Near the central square, the shops, the restaurants and the bars. Nice (but small) breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice in the nearby cafe Main credit cards accepted. The price I got was reasonable,... More

The hotel is made up of separate rooms spread around the village with breakfast taken in a small cafenio on the town square. We had room no/ 1 which was absolutely charming. It had a view over both the square and the sea, was dark and cool and decorated with an eclectic mix of antiques. The bathroom was modern, clean... More

Almost everything everyone says in their reviews is true. Firstly Monemvasa is an ancient Venetian/Byzantine/Turkish/Frankish fortress. Yes I know all the fortified towns in the Peloponnese went through all these owners - usually several times. But here the town has been restored and many of the rooms converted into hotel rooms.. So to answer a few complaints of others... 1.Where... More
