While the sheets and shower seemed fresh and clean the floor needed a hoover and it was more akin to staying in a prison than a hotel. Daylight robbery at 150 a night. The initial good impression of the reception area was quickly overruled when we entered the room.

Good location, near the old town and in front of the yacht club. Really rich individual prepared breakfast. Very friendly and responsive staff. Hotel experienced a better times. Somewhere needs for maintenance. Hotel located on the transit street side and for those, who like to sleep longer in the mornings, could be a bit disturbing noise from the traffic. Ask for a room with window headed opposite side of hotel.

We came there for one night. Rooms were clean and in general whole hotel is tidy but haven't seen renovation for a while. Speaking of service, at check in they didn't informed us that we need to check out until 11am. Nevertheless at 11.15 a man (to my knowledge owner) was nocking doors and shouting at us.

Nice place to stay for couple of nights. Building and furniture were oldish but clean. Beds were comfy. Air quality was not good for those of us with allergies. Breakfast platters were delicious. Staff was friendly. Location is really good.

The rooms where clean, but renovations is long overdue... The beds are no better than "low average". Noisy location, no A/C!!! Breakfast was good, every morning besides the usual the owner made some tasty treat. There is no proper staff, as the hotel is run by a couple. They were kind, but somewhat greedy. Wifi only in the 2 floor lobby. Have no intentions to return to this hotel...

My wife booked the room for our friend from England and agreed a price in Lithuanian before we set off to drop him there. When we arrived at the hotel they covertly changed the price on the receipt to more than a third more, when they found out he was from abroad. My wife challenged this when she saw the bill and they said they had made a mistake in the first instance. My wife came out to the car informed me of what went on and I went inside, went to his room and after some searching, took my friend to a far better room, with honest and friendly staff, in the guest house next to the brewery (aismares) for a third of the price they tried to charge him at "Astranomic" Stay away from this place at all costs!

A wonderful Hotel not to far from the Ferry. We took the ferry over and went to the beach. The Baltic Sea was a joy to swim in. I loved my stay at the Astra and in Klaipeda. Quiet. Romantic. And leisurely weekend of rest and romance. I recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Klaipeda

Room Tip: Any room is great. We paid extra for one with a view but we were never in the room much to enjoy it.

I stayed here for two nights with my 11 year old son. We really enjoyed it and would have liked to stay longer but needed to fly home. Excellent location by the yacht harbour, close to everything scenic in Klaipeda with free parking if you have a car. The room(s), there was an attached sitting room, had all you would need (kettles in Lithuanian hotels seem rare and there wasn't one) the breakfast buffet was very nice and the staff/management/owners were very friendly and professional. We felt at ease even though there was white linen on the tables. This place would suit most business and leisure visitors and I would definitely stay here again.
