I'm really torn as to what to think about this place. The staff was always helpful and friendly, the room was extremely spacious and full of storage space, and the location is just perfect. The street it is on is a bit noisy, but as soon as we closed the window it was ok. The negative points: The hotel is... More

We spent 3 nights in this nice-located hostel. The room was right in the city centre, a bit loud during the night but ok, and nicely furnished (old but funny). no elevator though. One huge problem: it was sooooo dirty, hair everywhere in the room, on the moquette and on the materass, bathroom not cleaned (and if so totally unsatisfactory,... More

+ The only redeeming feature was the great location. - Terrible roof rooms as the rooms are very small and hot. - The bathroom was to far from the room (one floor down). - No credit card payment even they accept your credit card during reservation for the gurantee. - No elevator and you have to climb to 3 to... I stayed at the old city hotel for a long weekend this March with my partner and child. We had a very comfortable room with three beds and bathroom. The room was clean and large. We only paid 50 euros in all per night per room. The hotel is perfectly located right in the city centre close to all restaurants,... More

The Old City Hotel is in a great location, right on Michalska Street in the heart of the old town. However, this hotel happens to have rooms which overlook an inner courtyard. This courtyard boasts a bar and strip club. Music from the bar filled our room during the day, which was a bit annoying. However, my husband and I... More

This has got to be the worst hotel that I have ever stayd in and for 60 euros night???? An absolute disgrace. The hotel is situated inside a shopping arcade and inorder to get to reception you must climb 3-4 flights of steep stairs with no lifts available. The recetion is very run down and quite creepy to be honest... More

Purely and solely for Stag dos, although the standard of this hotel would not even reach those heights in the UK! I was in fact on a Stag do when I stayed, so location and convenience were high on the agenda. I cannot deny the hotel of this - it is situated perfectly within the city. However pretty much everything... More

Well, pretty much the only good thing about this hotel is its location. However, that does not justify placing you in a room that was probably some sort of a boutique earlier. Namely, the hotel (if it does deserve that name) is situated in a kind of an old socialist shopping center, which contains other stores and a night club... More

This hotel has just a good location, apart of that everythings else are terrible. The rooms are very out of date ,very noise place . To get in the rooms or at the reception you have to climb to the fifth or sixth floor as the hotel has no lift. Not very good for any disabled, older travellers or family as there is... More

Went with a company called Bratislava Stags and to be honest, only stag doo's could really stay at a place like this. You have to climb anywhere between 60-90 steps (didn't count them) to reception and depending on where your room is, the hotel is divided into three levels with the reception being on the middle level. Not very good... More
