“Good Rooms, OK Location”

The rooms at Ambient are very nice, Bright, clean, spacious. Each has it's own private bathroom that is next door to, but separate from, the dorm - this is much more comfortable and private than en-suite. The grounds are nice to sit out in when the weather is good. The location is a bit away from the centre of town... More

“Not a cyclist-friendly hostel, though they claim to be”

Hostel says that they are bike-friemdly, but the only designated area for bike storage is non-guarded area without the shelter from the rain. It is not allowed to take bikes inside the room. We had expensive bikes and took them inside to avoid them to be stolen. Hostel owner wanted a huge penalty fee from us, even called the police.... More

Ambient was a nice little place, very clean, very nice cafe with wifi downstairs. It was sort of between a hostel and a cheap guesthouse - it had dorm rooms, but no kitchen or lockers or such, although there was a common area.
