I booked this on lastminute.com and thought I was getting a good deal or so I thought! This place is in a pretty bad neighbourhood and the taxi driver taking me from the airport was not even too sure of his location, but he eventually found it with typical Hungarian perseverance. There were women hanging around up the street which... More

The hotel is well located (two minutes away from the metro station) in a quiet neighborhood. It provides good basic acommodation, good buffet breakfast, and tourist information. Overall, good value for money. We did not care too much that the TV only had four channels and no remote control, because we were too tired in the evening to watch TV. More

Stayed here for three nights and had a pleasent experience. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the metro, when you exit you want to walk through the park and head for the asian resturant and the trusty McDonalds golden arches as some of their offices are located near the hotel, not an actual McDonalds. Then follow signs... More

I stayed for a week at this hotel and was overall pleased! The staff was helpful and kind. The room was always clean and breakfast was diversified and fulfilling. The only downside I have to point out is that the windows had no proper shades, which means at 7 a.m. we would wake up with too much brightness and too... More

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for two nights. No complaints at all. It's basic, but for the price what do you expect? The walk to town is about 20 minutes, or taxi's run cheap. They also do a good deal to the airport by taxi (ask at reception). You can't say you slept "on the danube" if you go... More

The Hotel Fortuna is a basic, clean reasonably priced Hotel. Buffet breakfact was excellent. The Hotel location is close to all forms of public transport is good and the walk to the city centre along to Danube or directly though th suberbs is fine (approx 20 Mins). would willingly stay again. More

I booked this hotel via Easyhotels.com and chose a twin room as I was visiting with my brother. First things first, it is quite easy to find - buy a single ticket at the airport for the bus (185 HUF I think...) and take the 200 bus to the Kobanya Kispest metro station (Metro Line 3). Get off at the... More

We thought it would be fun staying in a "boatel" and the views are great if you manage to get a room on the Danube side. The room was clean and the staff competent. The breakfast was included and okay. However, 65 Euros per night for a double room seem somewhat expensive for Budapest and the room was not very... More

Even brochure in the hotel reads HO(S)TEL Fortuna, it may be good value but it is ugly, stuff was very nice and helpfull to find us good hotel the next morning. I was not able to force myself to stay there another night. One more thing the "hotel" is only second floor of a larger building which includes a dorm and... More

Rooms are reasonably priced. A clean and basic hotel but not centrally located. The underground is a 10 minute walk away - a one way ticket is 185 florints but do buy the Budapest Card (good value and valid for trams, metros, buses and tourist attractions) . Breakfast was okay - bread, cold cuts, cheese, muesli, cereal, coffee, tea and... More
