Situated on the Danube River, close to the city center and many shops and restaurants. An easy walk to the Chain Bridge. The staff was extremely polite and professional. We arrived early and thankfully a room was available. We were offered a river side room for an additonal 25 euros. Huge breakfast buffet with superior service, a state of the art... More

Excellent views over the Danube, friendly staff and nice rooms. Not too far to walk to the city centre and loads of interesting bars and restaurants nearby. Great place to sit and watch the river. This hotel has recently been refurbished and has a great new bar area. More

This hotel is just fine, as you would expect a large chain hotel in its class to be, so I won't go into the details of the comfortable bed, good locrion and excellent included breakfast. (On that point, check that your breakfast is in fact, included though because some reservation types do include it and some don't. They didn't tell... More

This was my first poor experience with an Intercontinental property. As a Ambassador Gold member I have visited numerous Intercontinental properties on different continents. Their behavior has always been professional and service oriented, going out of their way to please. In this case, before making my booking for Budapest, I called the hotel from my home to check that if... More

This hotel was one of the most elegant hotels in Budapest way back when the communists still ruled the country. It was a place were documents and secrets were exchanged. It had the most beautiful cake-house the Wiener coffee-house. And it was the place to see and be seen. It is not much left of this, its not a place... More

My wife and I spent two nights in Budapest prior to boarding a river boat for a 14 night cruise to Amsterdam. The Intercontinental was the ideal hotel. We spent two wonderful days and nights in Budapest and in the Intercontinenal hotel. The view from the river side was fantastic. The hotel staff was very accomodating and super friendly.
