Given that I thought I was going to a hotel which might have had neon signs, I couldn't believe what I booked and it was just the tonic I needed after a 50 mile cycle. Breakfast set up incredibly well for the ride up Coverdale. Great B&B with a wonderful restful atmosphere. More

Absolutely beautiful house and wonderfully welcoming host. The room was comfortably and individually furnished including a TV and a selection of DVDs (good after a day full of walking). Breakfast was excellent, local produce, plentiful and tailored well to our needs (1 vegetarian), I would recommend to anyone. More

Not usually a fan of B&B but this was something else. A warm, friendly welcome from Jan in a warm and friendly environment. We stayed for 2 nights in a beautiful room and it was fantastic. We were really looked after. Delicious breakfasts (loved the granola!). Nothing too much trouble. Really, really lovely hosts. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we stepped through the door. Will definitely return. More

I telephoned to cancel the booking I had made as my wife had a fall and serious injury. No concern was expressed by the owner for my wife's health - only a challenge 'you have cancelled a booking with us before' (we have not actually). I am not impressed. More
