Arrived early on the Monday and the room was ready - nice large room and very well decorated with exoposed beams and lovely bathroom. View out of window over fields. Food on both nights was exceptional with the added bonus of theior own brewed beer beforehand. Will be going back again as great location for the exploring the lakes.

We stayed at the Brown Horse and had lunch and dinner there. The room was good with proper curtains and a powerful shower. Lunch was great value and delicious. Dinner was also excellent with their own brewed ales on tap.

Stayed two nights in April and would do so again if in this part of the Lakes. Well run by friendly staff. The two of us have just spent two nights here and just loved it. Everything from the Laura Ashley furnished room(nos 7), friendly atmosphere,fantastic homegrown/ locally sourced food and friendliness of staff,locals and owner was all superb.We are DEFINITELY booking again and will be taking the dog in one of their cottages next time.
