Our first sight of Clarendon wasn't totally confidence-inspiring, with a rather untidy front veranda not giving a great first impression. We soon realised this was just part of its lived-in look, as the house itself was clean and tidy and everything one could wish of a simple, comfortable, old-fashioned bed and breakfast.
