We booked 4 cottages at once for a family event last week - and all of us who stayed there thought the Lilacs were good value and a lovely location on the waterfront looking across to the town. The kitchens were very well equipped, beds comfortable, couches also, great views from most of the cottages and lovely playground for the... More

We were in villa 6 and found the level of facilities very good, (my wife rates places on the provision of a hair dryer), comfortable beds and furnishings, cooking utensils all there in good condition, didn't see any bugs. The harbour out the back door has one of the best windsurfing speed runs in WA, there were 7 of us... More

Similar to other reviews. Bathroom needs a really good scrub. Mould on ceiling. Dodgy patch up jobs especially on the ceiling which i noticed whilst trying to squash the squillion mozzies. the fridge in one unit had more lean on it than the leaning tower of pisa giving an indication of the handiwork when building the unit. Very dusty on... More

We stayed in "Cottage" #4, which is an old shack, painted a lovely shade of aubergine to distract one from the asbestos. It was filthy, for example the dish drying rack had a layer of brown sludge in the bottom and the bathroom was a tribute to mould. The bugs liked the place though, they hung around in huge numbers.... More

Basically about on a par with an old cottage on Rottnest. A fibro humpy with a recent lick of paint. Horrible bathroom with suspect drainage and decor from 70s. Fridge didn't work so all our food perished. Had to drive into town to buy ice to chill our drinks. Didn't really go with great expectations but for the cost per... More

Its a lovely view from the front across the bay to Albany - at a still sunrise its just spectacular. It worth bearing in mind that you aren't walking distance to the centre of town here. You are instead on the road to the scenic national park at the end of Frenchmans Bay Road. The furnishings are bright and modern... More

Location is quite good, nice view from the back of the unit and the gardens are nice. But the villa was not well maintained and the bathroom needs a good scrub. There are some repairs that need to be done and it doesn't seem well looked after. We paid $220 per night on the internet, which we had thought was... More
