The apartment I refer to is 106 Foreshore Apartment, which is run by Albany Harbourside Apartments. There are several other apartments on the block. 106 is very comfortable and had everything you could possibly require, including air con, coffee, tea, milk sugar and even a free bottle of wine. A large flat screen tv, DVD player and radio. Very clean... More

We reached McLean House at night time, the area was quiet, dark and windy. I opened the French door and walked along the verandah, passed by a few empty rooms' windows to the end of the house in order to enter the Garden Room. Quite spooky though. The key of the room is locked in a key-pin box which I... More

I come to Albany on business every month and stay at Vermeer 102 .This apartment is very clean and though the bathroom is not mordern it is spotless.I find Vermeer a real home from home.Unfortunately for the owners there is privately owned apartments at the Foreshore that are not up to this standard,I too have made this mistake.I would reccommend... The hotel is good when you first arrive, but needs a lot of work done to it. It is very dirty, and very dated. The bathroom was almost unusable and the beds were so lumpy you got the worst sleep of your life. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Albany, but on a positive subject, Albany is... Wonderful place to stay. Nice and close to everything. The outside is a bit disconcerting but once inside you'll fall in love a little. Very nicely decorated and has everything that you need. Yes you can hear busses and trains but they aren't loud enough or frequent enough to bother you at night. Slept fine enough! Overall, great place to... More

Some people just don't get it! Reading the last review I gather this person has no idea appreciation for exceptional taste in furnishings, beautiful well chosen linen, soft pleasing colour schemes, books on the shelves worth reading, movies worth watching. These apartments are immaculately clean and comfortable. Where else can you sit in a chesterfield you would want in your... More

This unattractive pink apartment block is located 30 metres from a bus depot and heavy freight rail train line that runs 24 hours a day hence very noisy. My first impression when I walked into the Veemeer Apartment 102 was that granny had been downsized to a bed sitter and brought the last of her bits and pieces from the... More

As fine accommodation is limited in Albany, we found these apartments a blessing in disguise. The exterior has a bit to be desired, and then alas you walk into a little bit of France. The owners are obviously passionate about their little gems and it shows in every detail. They are on the small side but when all you need... More

My husband and I have stayed at The Foreshore Apartments on two occasions. The first time was during July (winter), and we stayed in Vermeer (#102), one of two apartments owned by Dutch born Australians, Pleun and Hennie, who also own and operate the Lily Dutch Windmill. Our apartment was rather odd shaped, but spotlessly clean, well equipped and it... More

Albany has fairly limited choice in terms of lodging. We found this place through one of the discussion forums on the internet. It's basically a 2 or 3 story apartment building, the owners of the particular apartment that I am renting from are also the owners of the Lily Dutch Windmill at the Stirling Range National Park, their daughter who...
