We enjoyed three nights in this beautiful little cottage with our little King Charles Cav. Doug met us with a very friendly smile and warm handshake! And from the first moment couldn't do enough to make sure we were looked after! The little cottage was warm and comfi, Well equipped and welcoming bed. Because Douglas and Ruth deserve a break... Thank you for taking the time to review us. We do sincerely apologise for not being able to offer our Tea Rooms to you whilst you were with us. Very occasionally, we need to do maintainance work which stops us from operating the cafe. All us really appreciate the kind words that you have written about us and would just... More

Boy, this was a find. A double bedded idyll. Doug and Ruth really lived up to their promise that they would provide everything they would need themselves if they were visitors. From excellent tea and coffee, fresh milk, breakfast basket with a choice between meusli and cereals, deep pile towels, dressing gowns and lovely bathroom bits. Oh, and did I... More

We stayed for two nights in a studio apartment at Clonmara Cottages after reading TripAdvisor reviews and assessing other local options. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were impressed with the friendly welcome, clean, spacious apartment and quality facilities. The lounge area had a large flat screen TV/DVD, music player and a gas log fire. The kitchenette was suitable for... More

We stayed here for the last 2 nights on our Great Ocean Road drive and had a wonderful stay. We received a very warm welcome from Doug and Ruth who couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable. The cottage was very clean and cosy with everything you could possibly need. The breakfast in the tea rooms was delicious, the... More

My wife and I stayed here to conclude our Great Ocean Road trip and were not disappointed. Anya spent her time happily pruning the hedge in the garden whilst I enjoyed a glass of red and watched the Alpacas. Very quiet - great attention to detail with even glasses of port... We loved it!

Thank you for your review. Whilst all has seemed good, we are little disappointed about your rating for our location. We make no claims that we are on the water and offer a rural aspect whilst still in township of Port Fairy, featuring rolling gardens, alpacas and other features. We were vere very appreciative of your partner's pruning, something we... More

What a charming place! The cottages are set in a delightful private garden which includes a chess set, my husband's favorite, big trees and a field of alpacas. The spa bath with high quality bath oils and accessories is a winner, perfect for pampering after a long drive. The cottage was spotless and a most comfortable bed. Nice welcoming touches,... More

Husband booked these cottages for a return visit to Port Fairy after 32 years. I remember we visited then in late autumn and vowed and declared that if we returned we would go in summer as so many restaurants and shops were closed. Unfortunately we're were booked for Monday and Tuesday nights and had the same problem all these years... More

Thank you for taking the time to review us. We very reluctantly need to close on a Monday and Tuesday, not because we need time off, but because of the paperwork required running a business even as small as ours. We also need to tend the gardens and do maintainance. We chose these two days, to try not to disrupt... More

We didn't get the friendliest welcome as we arrived about 30 mins too early to check in (difficult to plan when you've been travelling for 5 hours). However, when we said it didn't matter the owner was much friendlier. Our accommodation was in fact available. The cottage was in a lovely spot and very private and quiet. The cottage decor... More
