Breathtaking location, wonderful eco-friendly building, delightful food, thrilling walks and endless stories and information to learn from. What more could you want? Sean and Rosemary are wonderful hosts, especially at the dinner table and guiding guests on fascinating walks. It's a very rare, exquisite location. The building and the rooms are superb. Really shows what you can do with clever,... More

Driving into the one lane country road you may start to wonder what kind of back country experience awaits... but alas you will find a modern, cozy, very smartly designed and beautifully built single story grid-free (solar/hydro) home. It is so refreshing to stay in a B&B that IS NOT wanna-be victorian era furnishings or just country kitch. This place... More

We stayed in the family room (2 adults and 2 children aged 11 and 13) for 2 nights. Did the 4-5 hour forest walk with Sean, which was fantastic. Great to have expert commentary on the forest and Sean and Rosemary's knowledge of the local area and the environment movement. We also enjoyed exploring the grounds and the great views.... More

we stayed in the family room and had plenty of space (with 10 and 13 y olds) for our two night stay. The guided walk was some of the most attractive scenery that we saw in tasmania and the best thing we had it all to ourselves no crowds we had dinner twice and very much enjoyed the special, local... We were spoilt beyond belief. I walked the amazing trails, caught a trout in the stream while my partner snoozed in our amazing queen bed. Our hosts were fantastic, engaging, warm and never invasive. The lodge is stunning, our 3 course dinner superb, the location pristine. If you wish to re-energise and enjoy sustainable living at its best, stay a... More

Spending two nights in the Forest Walks Lodge is just enough to catapult you into another time and place, in what seems to be far from 21st century life. I walked into the lodge after a meandering trip from Hobart, and the silence and peacefulness of the living room interior enveloped me. At that moment I knew I was meant... More

Thanks Sean and Rosemary for a wonderful family break. We loved the secluded location, surrounded by wildlife. We opted for the 3 day package. One day we went on the guided walk, which my husband particularly found interesting. The following day we visited nearby caves and did a couple of short walks. Alum Cliffs was spectacular. My kids (aged 8... More

We recently spent two night's at Sean & Rosemarys forest eco lodge one of them being New Year's Eve and had a truly wonderful time. We were travelling with our 13 month old baby and were a little concerned that our 'baby needs' couldn't be met but thankfully we had no worries whatsoever. Sean & Rosemary not only managed to... This B&B provides rare and personal insight into the ecology of the Western Tier, combined with comfortable rooms each with stunning views of the Tier, and fabulous home grown and locally-sourced meals. A special mention must go to the food - we wanted for nothing and were provided with three meals a day. Much of it is grown on the... More

Conservationists/Eco advisors Rosemary and Sean's views are perfectly reflected in their top quality lodgings. Everything from the building itself to the fabulous food they provide bears in mind the pristine environment in which they reside without compromise to comfort. Unfortunately we only had the time to stay one night, but it was the most relaxing and serene evening of our... More
