Do you want to go away from it all, to where you can see this wonderful land as it once was. In the care of Sean and Rosemary at their thoughfully constructed lodge we got to enjoy the beautiful Jackeys Marsh valley while sharing the company and hospitality of folk who have been pivotal in saving this pristine part of...

We had a lovely stay at the lodge; complete with wonderful home-cooked meals along with local beer and wine. The lodge has genuinely been constructed with both the local and global environmental impact carefully considered, we were especially intrigued to find triple glazed windows in Australia! Great local walks accessible daily. We were happy to support a couple who have...

Stayed here with my girlfriend in late August 2011 and was absolutely delighted by this great little place.
It is an eco lodge and runs competely self-sufficiently. It is in a very nice setting, deep in the forest and ideal for bush walks.
The absolute highlight, however, is the hospitality of Rosemary and Sean. We loved how they prepared meals...

Thank you Rosemary and Sean for your abundant and intelligent hospitality. Despite not taking any walks from the property, mum and I thoroughly enjoyed using the Lodge as a base for four days...to explore at will... from Cradle Mountain to Sheffield, Mole Creek, Deloraine, the Liffey Falls and all the beautiful back roads in between. Coming 'home' to a wood...

Our hosts, Rosemary & Sean have set the standard for other eco-retreats to follow! The lodge has been carefully constructed to minimise energy requirements, while still providing modern comforts. AND the meals and dining service were...

Our one night stay at Forest Walks Lodge was a great introduction to a week's holiday in North West Tasmania. The hotel is wonderfully sited with forest behind and views across rough grass paddocks to hills and mountains. The building is new, carefully built and very comfortable, rugs made by a local weaver decorate the walls and floors. Sean and...

If you are after something a little different, and yet in some ways, delightfully the same, take the opportunity to stay at Forest Walks for a few nights. I would definitely suggest, don't just "stay" there, but take the forest walks package. All meals are cooked by Rosemary and Sean from the best of local produce and all our meals...
