Well appointed and very friendly managers. Birdlife nice and you feel very much in the bush. Nice to be able to borrow movies. The shore near here is rocky and not that nice for walking along. In hindsight, because we are nature nuts we would have liked to be on the other side of town near the penguin rookery. Our... More

We stayed at Bicheno Hideaway for five days and four nights in Nov 2011. The accomdation was a chalet. The owners were warm, friendly, hospitable and very welcoming people. It had well eqipped wash room and kitchen. They gave me a very attractive and tasty birthday cake and a bouqet since my family celebrated my birthday on 11-11-11. The chalet was in a... More

We stayed at Bicheno Hideaway for four nights and took full advantage of the peace and quiet afforded by its location just outside town and right next to the ocean. The cabins aren't luxurious but have everything you need: full kitchen, heaters, wifi, even hot water bottles for the chilly evenings. The abundance of wildlife both during the day and... More

After 4 nights in Hong Kong staying here was a wonderful and much needed shock to the system. The accommodation comprises a handful of well-maintained, beautifully designed, privately detached wooden houses/chalets arranged within verdant bush, with an allotment and assorted wildlife a few metres back from low, rocky coastline. It is several minutes drive south of the modern village of... More

Our family of two adults and two children stayed in these lovely cabins for three nights and had a wonderful time. We could have stayed longer. We stayed in chalet 4 wich was light, airy and had everything we needed, including a coffee machine thanks to the owner Nick, who very kindly lent us his own after the original one... More

Having spent July in fabulous permanent tent accomodation in the Kimberleys, W.A. this cabin looked like a pleasant reminder. We were not disappointed! I requested and got a cabin with a view of the sea. Sitting in the main room or balcony was a treat. The peacocks, wallabies and possums that visited daily added to the experience. You would need... These cabins are just fabulous. Set away from the main town they are perfect for a get a way from a hectic life but close enough to enjoy exploring the region. The hosts are delightful and couldn't be more welcoming. Our cabin was clean and tidy with plenty of kitchen facilities etc. The wildlife is amazing, coming right on to... More

A perfect little hideaway for our family, including our 2 teenage girls. The on-site wildlife was totally diverting, including the peahen and peachicks that decided our welcome mat was their roosting spot. The coastal walk is not to be missed, and starts right from the chalets. Bicheno itself is wonderful. If you haven't seen the penguins, this is the place... More

If what you want is relaxation in a quiet location at one with the natural world, Bicheno Hideaway is the place for you. We stayed in Chalet 3. Staying in such an unusual beach house, with a very short walk to the waters edge and surrounded by bushland full of wildlife made for a very pleasant stay. Nick and Arabella... More
