This hostel and it's staff are true gems, and it's the best place I've stayed in Queensland. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. All the staff are really friendly and the place is super clean. The garden, hammocks and barefoot bar are all wicked ideas that work wonderfully. If you're looking for a genuine chilled hostel, where there's some good... More

We booked here based on a brochure from another place up the coast and it was a big mistake. There are dozens of hostels with cheaper rates in Airlie Beach; this turned out to be not only the most expensive, but also the farthest away and the biggest ripoff. The "free wifi" is turned off entirely at 7, they lock... More

Disagree with John D that the hostel is a long way from town - it's 5 minutes tops to the main drag, and being a little bit out of the way suited us as it was quieter and more conducive to a good night's sleep. Nicko the guy who runs the place was a really good bloke and gave us... More

We booked this hostel after looking at the pics online and reading a few reviews... the photos are not as it looks as it is very dated and grubby. I would not stay here again, it is over priced and is not ina good state. It could defintely do with refurbishbent or even if they just took down all the... More

A very colourful but basic hostel, but with lots of friendly advice and leaflets (thanks Nicko), a pool, free wifi which is only from 7am to 7pm (this is because the owner got clobbered because people downloaded massive files overnight...) and a quiet location. It is a 10 minute walk to town and then you are on the main strip... More

I had an awesome time staying here for five nights in December over Christmas. Was going to be rainbow beach but so glad we stayed here instead. The hostel was nice with a relaxed vine, decent size kitchen, loads of fridge space and a big seating area. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. The rooms are good and... More

The hostel had a very nice atmosphere, We stayed here for 3 nights. I really liked the fact they had a bbq we could use. Staff is very helpfull and always available. i really enjoyed the trivia night and then the very bad-but funny- magic tricks of the staff. The rooms were veeery tiny though, it was hard to fit... I stayed in several hostels in australia's east coast and this was by far the one with the greatest atmosphere! The games at night, the staff and the nets on the trees... oh thank you so much Nick, Tom and Susan! thank god i happen to meet Nick at the airport and so I went to his hostel. I'm pretty... More

Ok, first of all, it is not that close to the mainstreet. You have to walk around 15 minutes to get to the mainstreet. But then, Airlie Beach is not that interesting, except for the Whitsunday Tours. The staff is really nice (Scotty, you're great and never change that accent!). Maybe everything is a bit outdated, but it is clean.... More

I've been to quit a lot hostels before and this wasn't one of the best. The staff is great, but the kitchen and the bathrooms REALLY need some renovation!! the dorm room is small and there are no lockers, but the rooms have aircon which is good. i've been to hostels where they clean the bathrooms twice a day, which...
