A huge disappointment. The safari tents were okay, but lacked reading lights for the beds, there was no fridge, no jug and no toaster. If you stay there you are completely dependent on the resort for meals - and frankly the evening menu was very limited. We were lucky that the night we ate dinner there, there were 2 groups... More

.We went to El Questro and went for a walk at Emma Gorge a few weeks ago and we were made to feel so welcome. Not only was the scenery wonderful but a lovely blond lady with glasses bobbing around in what looked like an oversized green lawnmower stopped and spoke to us. We were after water and she took... "Doing the Gibb River road" is high on many travellers agenda - and even if you only do the first section from the Great Northern Highway to the Pentecost, you can say you've done the Gibb. If you can combine staying at the wonderful Emma Gorge resort, then you've achieved a great deal. The Resort is part of the El... More

a trip out the gibb river road from kununurra will bring you to emma gorge, and the emma gorge resort. the open dining area appears like an oasis through the trees as you wind up the driveway. this really is a resort with a difference. accommodation here is in safari tents, an experience you could refer to as “glamping”. these... Dear Capt Funkelicious, Both myself and the team at Emma Gorge are so pleased that you clearly enjoyed your stay with us. We're very proud of the resort and the beautiful, tropical atmoshphere that the gardener works so diligently to maintain. It is indeed a "glamping" experience with a difference. Thank you for sharing your positive feedback. We hope to... More

We spent 2 nights here in a quad Tent - it was quite roomy and the ensuite was good..... The Safari Tents are set amongst trees, creek and bushland settings - very attractive. The restaurant and bar area are very well appointed. We had a discount buffet the first night which was great , but had to have al a... More

The setting and context of Emma Gorge resort need to be taken into consideration when reviewing it. It is set at the base of deep red cliffs and provides an oasis of green and tranquility in the surrounding plains of brown and russet. The permanent safari-style tents are quite comfortable and a clever design, with a queen-sized bed and two... More

We spent one night at Emma Gorge Resort at the end of our Gibb River Road trip. The tents were really well designed and it comfortably slept 4 of us. It was lovely to wake up to the sound of the birds and wildlife. The restaurant was great and of course the Emma Gorge walk was just amazing to see.... More

We spent 2 nights here with a tour group and found it to be quite an oasis in a very dry part of the Kimberley. The food was excellent and the open reception area was a very restful place for a cold drink and a chat at the end of the day. My minor quibble was with the background music,... More

I stayed with my parents whilst doing a self drive tour along the Gibb River Road. The tents were very well designed and we all found them to be comfortable with good facilities that were nice and clean. The unfortunate part of our stay was that we definitely felt like second class citizens when the bus tour groups were staying.... More

Greetings from El Questro Wilderness Park and thank you for highlighting the good and the not so good. Feedback is what we like, especially when we don't meet expectations and on this occasion we were found wanting and please accept our sincere apologies. With regards to the bar situation, there should not have been any preferential treatment being a tour... More

My husband and I had three nights at Emma Gorge Resort recently. We were worried about the road in, (Gibb River Road) but we were happy to find about 80% was tar. Reception was excellent, enthusiastic and full of information and tips. We arrived early so our room wasn't quite ready but we were able to relax in the outdoor... More
