We arranged for a one night two full day trip to the Bungles, using a small plane to access the area. On arrival we were met by a young man who was our guide throughout our stay. He drove us to a number of trailheads and we took a number of spectacular hikes. We stayed in a superior tent and... More

There are 2 APT camps at the Bungle Bungle's, we stayed at the newest camp also smaller than the other camp. This is the camp site they use for the promotions for the camping experience,. There is nothing I could fault, it is a destination you remember. Food was great, staff the best of all APT sites.. For the middle... More

We stayed here for 2 nites as part of our self drive trip through the Kimberleys (Aug). We found the food to be a good quality, the staff were excellent, helpful. Although this is an APT camp we were included as part of the group. we had standard tents which included ensuite bathrooms. bear in mind if travelling this way... More

This was our first time staying in an APT bush camp, and we really weren't too sure what to expect. I'm not such a keen camper - I like my creature comforts such as a bathroom. The APT camp at the Bungles was great! Almost a perfect combination of feeling like you're camping, while at the same time sleeping in... More

Given that this is in the middle of a very remote area, and the accommodation consists of tents, it's extraordinarily good - well done, APT! Note that there are two APT wilderness lodges in Purnululu: we stayed in Piccaninny, which is the smaller, deluxe camp, with queen-size beds instead of two singles. The tents were large and comfortable, with a... More

This is a neat place to stay if you don't want to do your own camping. We had no problems with bugs or critters in our room. Amazing temperature difference here, we arrived at our tent at about 1pm, it was stifling hot like an oven. By about 4pm it was a lovely temp, and at 4am it was 10... More

The tents are large with a compartment behind the sleeping area which contains a shower and wc. There is a sitting area at the front of the tent. It is indeed luxury camping compared with the camping I did in the 1960s! The site is large with a bar and eating area, which is superb. The quality of food is... More

The Wilderness Camp in the Bungles (Purnululu National Park) is an excellent accommodation option to enable an overnight stay while you do the four onsite gorge walks. When you arrive at the Bungles visitor centre you take a left to see the Echidna and Mini Palms Gorges and a right to the wilderness camp and the other walks. The tents... More

This experience was different to anything I have ever had. It is luxury tented accommodation in the middle of nowhere, well in the middle of the Bungle Bungle National Park. The experience is amazing – the Bungle Bungle is located in the Purnululu National Park. The Bungle Bungle are striped, beehive-shaped sandstone domes rising 300m out of the arid landscape.... More
