The 5 minute walk to the beach positions this charming hotel just far enough to completely avoid the loud rock music and distractions of the ocean side bars. Earlier reports of a shady, dangerous road which links the hotel to the main street are totally paranoid & unknowing. The cabanas are delightfully tranquil, as is the staff. A perfect place... More

This lovely hotel is just off the main drag and is only a 5 minute walk to the beach. The road is unlit but certainly not "unnerving" and is actually lined with the most friendly people who give you a smile a wave and an hola every time you pass. Getting away from the pumping and noisy bars on the... More

Our party of 5 (two adults, two girls 20 and 18) spent three nights at Garden Hotel Lomita Maravilla in late December 2008. My wife had booked it in consultation with our friend who was traveling with us, because we wanted to see a different part of the D.R. (we usually have stayed in Cabarete). Overall it was pretty nice,... More

Lot of Roaches, the Jacuzzi filled with tadpoles and had to be cleaned, the pool greenish and filthy. The breakfast is horrible I suggest you to skip it and buy your own food. The cleaning staff does not wear uniform so you really do not know if is hotel staff or not. The pathways are covered with moss and when... More

The Lomita Maravilla is great, secluded and really romantic place. The bungalows are comfy and picturesque! My boyfriend and I had many great afternoons relaxing with a drink by the (small) pool. However, in the interest of full disclosure: the hotel is a 10 minute walk to the beach/town down an unlit, dusty road that can be a little unnerving... More

The bungalows at Lomita Maravilla are beautifully appointed with modern furniture, and surrounded by constantly maintained landscaping. The staff was more than helpful, and attentive service is obviously something they focus on. Our stay was in early October, a month you should consider. It's off-season, so you have the entire town to yourself - empty beaches and open tables at... More

We just come back from 1 week in Las Terranas and we had a fab time!!!!We rented a jacuzzi villa. We are always looking for small accomadation/ private resort as we are not " all inclusive resort" type of customers and this place was the perfect answer to our needs. Lomita maravilla is a great place to stay and relax;... More

We just returned from a 6 day vacation in Las Terrenas. First, we have to commend Cathy Kiefer, the manager, for her excellent services not only during the months leading up to our stay but also for all the hospitality, friendliness and advice she provided during our stay. She arranged transportation from Santo Domingo to the hotel and even though... More

We were staying here in mid November 2007 and found the hotel to be excellent in quality, style and comfort, good service and friendly staff. The management were very helpful and attentive. Be advised that they are constructing some new villas above the property so this could create noise during the day so do ask about this buiding work when... More

Where do I begin? From the first time I contacted Lomita Mara Villas inquiring about potential reservations, to the moment we checked out - I was greeted with genuine hospitality. My sincerest thanks to Cathy for being such a gracious hostess. I truly felt as though I was a guest at her home. The Villas are impeccably clean and absolutely... More
