After driving for 10 hours the Barkly Homestead was a blessing. We certainly appreciated the pool. It was just what we needed. We will certainly be staying here again. And to the people who complain about the ants well that is just part of the NT. You come up here to see the wildlife and then you whinge about it... More

Thank you for reviewing our property. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. None of our cabins or motel rooms have cooking facilites. The biggest problem with cooking facilities is that no matter how hard you clean it is often impossible to remove the smell of food from the rooms. This is not fair on future customers. We do have... We arrived by helicopter on a long trip across Australia. We were greeted by one of the owners who was more than helpful. We got car broke down so stayed there for one night. Nice roadhouse clean and well maintained. Staffs are friendly. Meals are good. Stopped here for fuel and breakfast. Was told that the EFT machine was not working so had to pay cash or get money out of the ATM (& be charged a fee).
