My husband and I visited Te Puna Wai during our three-week vacation to New Zealand. We stayed 2 nights and our time there was absolutely amazing! We were in the top floor suite and had the most incredible view over the water. It was something out of a movie! The accommodations were 5 star. The king-sized bed was so comfortable... More

We are chuffed our guests have enjoyed their Te Puna Wai experiences. And very flattered with the trouble they've taken with their reviews. We're lucky to have nice, interesting, humorous people come to stay with us! Not wanting to break the spell, we've been shy of responding to guest reviews, but there's some mis-information in this review. We don't have... More

The hosts are so nice and went above and beyond in every way. The breakfast was great, fresh everything and eggs made to order. The view of the harbor was amazing with good restaurants in walking distance. The house is 150 years old and completely redone with luxury and charm throughout. We loved it. More

We stayed two nights in the Fifeshire suite at the top of the house last month. The room was wonderful with a fantastic bathroom and superb views over Nelson's waterfront and out to sea. Very comfortable bed and pillows and being at the top of the house we slept really well. James and Richard were fantastic hosts, welcoming us when... More

We stayed for 4 nights in the downstairs room - just magic. A comfortable room with kitchen and laundry facilities - a view and a terrace to sit and watch the world gently pass by. James and Richard were the perfect hosts - nothing was a problem and their extensive experience helped in refining our planned activities. The breakfast was... More

Te Puna Wai is probably the best B&B we have stayed in our travels around the world. A stylish property stylishly furnished to very high standards, our room, to the rear of the property, was very comfortable and well appointed. The breakfasts offered anything one could want, and were served in a beautiful lounge/dining room with stunning views. The hospitality... More

Stayed at Te Puna Wai Lodge in the middle of March 2012 for three nights. We occupied the downstairs suite which has a kitchen as well as the usual facitities. The room was spotlessly clean and oozes class and distinction - all fittings etc are expensive and exquisitely tasteful. The room has a terrace and a small verandah (big enough... More

We stayed at Te Puna Wai 4 days apart, with a 3-day self-supported bike trip to Golden Bay in between. Despite a very steep hill to climb to get there, we were very glad we chose it. Richard and James were very friendly, and they put a lot of thought into what they laid out in the room in anticipation... More

We had such a lovely stay at Te Puna Wai. Richard was a wonderful host and made us feel right at home. The room and en-suite bathroom were beautiful and the entire house was decorated so nicely. The house is at the top of the hill with beautiful views and a short walk to the beach, some iconic Nelson restaurants... More

In a quiet location on a hill overlooking the bay in a residential area about 2kms out of town. We had the Fyfeshire Suite on the top floor which consists of a very large bedroom with sitting area and desk plus one smaller bedroom suitable for 3rd adult or 2 children plus well equipped bathroom with separate walk in shower....
