Up on the hill overlooking Kaikoura, this is a great wee home stay / B&B. Friendly and warm hosts, and homegrown fruit with breakfast to boot! Cheers - definitely reccomended, and at only $75 a night if you're travelling solo, it's a great deal...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Margaret and her daughter Nikky. They were very warm and friendly and made us feel welcome. Guests had their own shared lounge, kitchen and bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the home very clean. We did have mosquitoes and moths in the bathroom - the only reason we could not rate Bay-view as excellent.... More

We stayed with Margaret and her daughter on our recent trip to New Zealand and could not have found more welcome hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and both accommodation and breakfasts were excellent. We loved talking to Margaret over breakfast and listening to her b & b tales over the years. She is a truly lovely lady and fantastic... More

Selected this location on a whim for a one night stay in Kaikoura (a wonderful destination for nature watching). Nicki and her mom "granma" Margaret are absolutely delightful as is the charming home they maintain. - breakfast is comprehensive and prepared right in front of us - the garden is just beautiful - our room was basic, clean, warm and... We had a wonderful stay with Margaret and Nicky, it was like being with my own Grandmother. We felt very much at home and our room was very cosy. Breakfast was lovely, we won't forget those homegrown tomatoes -delicious! It was such a nice stay, we were sad to go!

We felt at home and the views from the house are stunning! Extras like laundry faciliies, and Margaret's lovely garden is a delight. Excellent value for money. Home made bread and produce for breakfast too!

I enjoyed a one-night stay in the Bay View and it was great. The breakfast was very filling. The fireplace was on when I walked in. I got a great night's sleep- no complaints and it was all for an affordable price.

I stayed at the Bayview Homestay for a week, it was a prize find. Margaret and Nicky are the best B&B hosts I've ever come across, very caring and happy with a great sense of humour, it was a delight to stay with them in their comfortable and very clean home, I could not have asked for more, if I...
