this was the 3rd bella vista motel chain we checked in. as with other bella vista motels, it was near town center wthin walking distance to shops and restaurants. Room was clean and functional. But the waste bin had a sticker telling guests not to throw plastic and glass bottles into it. ????

On our second stay at Bella Vista, once again we found it to be modern and very clean, and ideal for our needs. Competitively priced and easily within walking distance of the local shops. The owner is always friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

We wanted to stay close to the glaciers, so that the trip in the morning would not be that long and we still had the whole afternoon at the glacier. Nice clean motel, in a great location. Staff very kind and helpful. Walls in room very thin could hear TV and people at night and in the morning.the rest of the room was great though.

The Bellavista at Hokitika is a perfect road trip stopover. It's a small complex with just 16 units and ours was a standard but with plenty of room for two. Very clean unit. Everything you could want. Just beware - it is on a corner where large milk lorries are turning all day AND NIGHT but get a unit that is in the middle of the complex and you will be alright.

Thank you for your positive comments about our motel. We hope you had a great time touring around New Zealand and especially enjoyed Hokitika.
We do have milk tankers passing our motel but the feedback we get from our guests would indicate that milk tankers are not an issue as they are not travelling All day and night.
