I had two nights in this yha. The rooms are nearly clean and the bathroom is ok. When i have my next stop here, i would book just one night and try to spend my time outside.

I had two nights in this yha. The rooms are nearly clean and the bathroom is ok. When i have my next stop here, i would book just one night and try to spend my time outside.
The hostel feels big and empty. Really quiet when we were there. Wouldn't stay longer than one night, that was enough in those small dorm rooms with hard beds. The bath rooms are small and wierd. Not to clean either.
I guess part of my negative experience from this hostel could be because it's in the most boring town in...

So it's clean, central, well serviced and warm. That's pretty standard for a YHA, but this one also has the added interest of being an old convent. Greymouth is not so big so its pretty hard to have a bad location, this one is about 10 mins walk from train station and a little less from 'town', they organise trips and things for you though and pick up from outside the hostel which is great, staff were friendly, facilties were clean, room was spacey, lots of stairs...
