We made a last minute decision to travel to Melbourne as a family over the Easter period and see the great ocean road. Finding reasonably priced accommodation for us + 2 year old and baby that wasn't booked out proved a bit of a hassle until I spotted Quamby. I'm not sure why it wasn't already booked out but I'm... We stayed here one night on our way to Adelaide via the Great Ocean Road. Although a good 20 minute drive out of Warrnambool, when we arrived we were immediately made welcome. As it had been a long day driving, we took up the offer of a light meal which was delicious and very reasonably priced. We stayed in The... More

A great B&B which really has that authentic country feel about it. Ailsa & family were great hosts who really looked after us and know the area well. We stopped for 1 night while doing the Great Ocean Road. Make sure you wander the gardens & surrounds during your stay. They also have free internet.

With one night to experience the historic beauty of central Victoria while doing the Great Ocean Road we fortunately stayed here. The old house is a beauty but the newly renovated 'School House' provided excellent views and a quiet and comfortable sleep. Ask for directions and do the 1/2 hour walk.

We stayed at the Quamby Homestead for one night when touring the Great Ocean Road. It is a delightful place, on a small working farm in a quiet rural setting. We were in the School House, which is a newly refurbished bedroom and bathroom, set in the garden of the homestead. There is also a row of small mews cottages,... More

We are so pleased you also enjoyed your stay in our newly renovated School House, where the children of the original owners were taught. Thank you too for taking the time to share your experience with us and our other guests, and we very much hope to see you back here in the future - perhaps with friends and family... More

Quamby Homestead is in a beautiful rural setting, with very nice gardens and walking areas.  We stayed in the "school house" and it is a stunning bedroom and bathroom.  We loved the polished wooden floors and the views over the fields and pond.  The owners are always available and very accommodating.  The English Breakfast was very nice.  They also offer... We love the School House, and are always really happy when guests enjoy it too! It was a pleasure being able to serve you an evening meal after a long day touring, and as we have only recently launched this menu we really appreciate the feedback from our guests. We aim to give guests a totally relaxed experience from dinner... More

We stayed at the Quamby homestead for one night in the old schoolhouse room and weren't disappointed. The homestead is a little out of the way but it is fantastically peaceful and surrounded by beautiful gardens and countryside. Our room was in a separate building and was a really nice mix of old and new. It had a bathroom which... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to review our School House. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay as some of our first guests following our complete refurbishment of all the guest rooms. We like to think of the School House as Quamby's romantic retreat, and hope to see you back again in the future to enjoy... More

This hotel is worth the extra few miles to drive out to. A warm welcome awaits visitors. The owners are fairly new to the Homestead and we wish them all the best in their business. A good night's sleep in a lovely room, followed by an enjoyable breakfast. The grounds are worth exploring as the gardens are beautiful. If you... More

Most visitors to Victoria know of the Great Ocean Road but visitors should really then head inland to stay at this historic homestead which is surrounded by beautiful countryside. We were made very welcome by the hosts William and Ailsa. We found it an excellent B&B and a very worth while diversion off the main coast road which runs between... More

Staying on a farm with a definite treat at the end of a two week trip around Tasmania and the Great Ocean Road. Quamby Homestead is set out in the farmland outside Warnambool - a lovely area, though we didn't realise just how far out of town it is (20 - 30 minutes). It's run by a lovely group of... More
