We recently stayed 1 Saturday night at this hotel. We had an upstairs room with a small balcony, which was good to get some air. The bed was clean & comfortable, and a self serve continetal breakfast was included in the tariff. The bathroom was clean, but very dated and the room decor was very old. The venue was just... More

As others have said this place is central, dated and clean and some of the ground floor rooms look onto the fence to the school next door. But and its a big BUT they have a tapas restaurant on site and the churros are to die for. Well some of the other dishes were good also, so forget the slightly... More

The reception staff are very nice, but the whole complex is very dated. The bathroom tiles in particular stand out. The rooms were clean though, and the bed was comfortable which is all we needed. The central location is good. The 'pool' is absolutely filthy and I don't think anyone would dare swim in it. We were charged $115 a... More

Have been staying one night a fortnight for the last four months as partner comes down for work and his company books us in. Reception staff always very helpful and usually give us same room which we like. Room very spacious with a nice balcony. Very comfortable bed and always impeccably clean. Could certainly do with an update as hard... More

Broken heaters. Old lumpy beds. These rooms have not been updated since the seventies. Musty smell, very noisy rooms. A lot of patrons who leave early seem to use this hotel and make a lot of noise. I have stayed in this hotel on too many occasions ( not by choice) and nothing changes. Stay away.

A friendly warm welcome upon check in at reception always helps get feel for how your stay will go. Rooms were very neat and clean which makes you feel comfortable. Fantastic value for around $115 was excellent, another property in Sale wanted $30 more and i would be much further away from town. B'fast had everything i wanted and due... More

We only stayed for one night but had a great night's sleep in a spacious queen room albeit old fashioned and a bit on the dark side. Sportlessly clean and with a terrific complimentary continental breakfast in the dining room, I considered this great value for money at $115. This motel unlike many others in Sale, is central to the... More

I visit Sale quite often, and I always choose to stay at the Hacienda. The staff always make you feel more than welcome, the cleanliness of the rooms is fantastic, and the service is great. They have all new airconditioners installed in the rooms and are currently renovating rooms. You definately get great value for your money, and this would... More

I stay in Gippsland often for work and am familiar with pretty much every hotel, motel and caravan park from Pakenham to Orbost & Lakes. With the singular exception of the Miner's Rest Motel in Wonthaggi, the Hacienda is the worst. Disgusting smell of stale possum urine throughout the room, dated and worn fittings, heater that thankfully didn't work because... More
