Firstly, when did the TripAdvisor community lose the ability to distinguish between an Attraction and Accommodation when posting their reviews? This is an ACCOMMODATION REVIEW. The big refurbishment is only a few months old so the rooms at Kryal Castle are new, clean and comfortable. To get to the accommodation do not turn into the entrance to Kryal Castle. Instead... More

We got there about 2pm after my 118 metre Eagle on the 18th at Ballarat Golf Club, paid ye olde $79 family ticket and were just in time for the jousting exhibition which was pretty cool. Hazaar!!! Unfortunately that was as good as it got. We missed the mounted skill at arms, Knights' meeting and ye olde weapons display but... More

It was a great experience for the kids, made all the better by staying overnight in the beautiful rooms. The jousting and weapons shows were really fun to watch, it was great the kids got to pet the horses after and speak to the 'knights'. Costumes and scenery really bought a lot to the experience. The accommodation was well priced,... More

What a disappointment. After all the talk about an new owner and the money spent to fix things up, I thought lets go there and support these wonderful people who have rescued an icon. Well, the place is dead, it just doesn't know it. The entry tried to set a theme and mood. Dirty glass detracting from the illusions (ie... More

We went on a school trip with a group of 10 people, it was nice quiet day because we went on a wednesday but still a great experience, the staff were great they stayed in character, all the time. The squire was my favourite, the people who would enjoy the most would be children and and family. The highlights were... More

We went to Kryal Castle on Easter Saturday expecting big things since its 'reopening' but we were bitterly disappointed, We were herded around the different shows and exhibitions which were very amateurish in many ways. There was no audio or PA in the Jesters theatre so sitting at the back we could not hear anything. We expected to see jesters not... More

It was hot and it was very nice not to be surrounded by too many people around us. Staff was great, friendly and stayed in character the... More

Went to Kryal Castle in the 80s on a school trip and never been back? Well it's time to revisit the Ballarat Medieval tourist attraction. I was keen to see what the newly refurbished park had to offer and was surprised by the options. There's something for everyone here: a cute puppet show for little kids, interactive session in the...
