My wife and I travel to Launceston for family visits monthly. We have been staying at Tamar River Villas for well over 12 months now. We always stay in an upstairs unit with a great water view and find the unit clean and well presented. We usually cook our meals and find the kitchen adequate, and the bed/lounge room plenty... More

We stayed in this place recently and found it to worst experience in Tasmania. We travel every school holidays and our experience in this place was not a fond one, the shower was in the bath and at 5ft 10 I had to stoop under it, the toilet was poked around the corner behind the wash basin and being sandwiched... Pleasantly surprised to here Guest's comments, we as Managers understand if there was dust on the light, we are responsible, our Lounge Suite is only carrying general ware and tare, from consistent Motel use. Our shower is over the bath, our toilet is arround the corner for some privacy, not behind the wash Basin, unfortunately they were designed this way... More

We arrived late afternoon after a flight from the mainland. It was in a rather hard spot to find the first time, between two one way roads, but in the end centrally located for our day trips. Small shopping center down the road and a great little restaurant on the premises. We were given a room upstairs to start. When we... More

Our disabled room did not have parking out front and was behind the stairs. Stayed 5 nights - an overhead light was taped up on arrival with no globe and never fixed during stay making room dark. Also, shower curtain rail came loose. It was taped up but never properly fixed during our stay. Room was not serviced during stay.... More

Friendly welcome on arrival. The unit was spacious, with a balcony overlooking the River. Looking a bit old and tired for a larger city Motel. Comfortable stay, easy enough to find although out of the city precinct. No more than we expected for the price.

When booking our accom we discovered there was a Targa Rally in the area during our preferred dates & most places within our budget were booked out. There was a dodgy review on trip advisor so I booked with my heart in my mouth. We required a wheelchair accessible unit (of which there are 2) & stayed for 3 nights.... More

This was my third stay here in 3 years. I rented a studio this time for several months as a base for exploring Tasmania. The unit was spacious, clean and had a terrific view of the Tamar River - ask for one on the second floor. They have great rates for long term stays, the kitchen is fully equipped, parking... More

Stayed here in a 2 bedroom unit for 1 night and was pleasantly surprised that the room was spacious and fairly well appointed. The bathroom looked a little dated but otherwise the unit was as good a we would expect for budget acommodation. The kitchen was well appointed as well. Free daily newspapers from reception was a bonus - grabbed... More

We were travelling to Launceston for the Festivale, and all our normal accommodation haunts were fully booked. The only place I could find on the net was Tamar River Villas, and I honestly thought it was going to be really dodgy from the photos I found on the net. There were three couples travelling together, each with a two year... More

We arrived early not expecting to get into our room, but were advised that the room was available, which was great as we had a fuction to go to at the Tailrace Centre across the road. The studio was very spacious and well maintained for a 3.5 star property and also with great views of the river. We only stayed for... More
