I am not sure why people are giving bad reviews about this place its wonderful! From the moment i checked in i was warmly welcomed, the service was great and the room omg was wonderful! I had booked a queen room for 2 nights and there was a deal for an upgrade for free to the queen delux, i had...

Our hearts sank as we entered the dark and dingy room on the ground floor overlooking the carpark. We couldn't believe we were being asked to pay $150 a night for such a run down, stuffy, gloomy room with a very tired, drab bathroom and we certainly didn't want to stay in there for the four nights we had booked....

We were disappointed from the moment we walked into our room. It was smelly-no air flow, a tiny old television, no air conditioning! There was an extra single bed which took up a lot of the small room. The queen bed was almost pushed right up against the wall on one side which made getting in and out of bed...

On a recent trip to Tasmania we booked this hotel for a 2 night stay. What was referred to as a "deluxe room" was in fact a run down, dark and very dated room. The furniture was battered and in need of replacement. The room was very dark, exaccerbated by the dark red carpet, curtains, decor etc. The whole facility...

Rarely do i stay in hotels in my home state, but was afforded the privilege of going to the annual Longford Revival Festival (a tribute to the former car racing days) recently which caused us to stay in Launceston for the weekend.
The hotel of choice was a Launceston institution, the old Colonial Motor Inn , now Colonial Launceston and...

After reading some daming reviews of this place i wasn't sure what to expect. We stayed in the deluxe queen rooms on level 2 and was very impressed. The rooms were clean and tidy and a pretty good size, they had obviously recently been refurbished and the beds were quite comfortable. The restaurant Three Steps was good for meals and...

Stayed for our 3rd night of our 1st trip to Tasmania to celebrate our anniversary. The young lady, Jessica, who booked us in was absolutely lovely but the rest of our stay was below par.
The room was very dated and situated on the ground floor, outside. There was a smokers' area a couple doors up and because of that...

I had read some average reviews on this place but booked on the advice of the better reviews. I think some were critical of noise etc and whilst I agree I think I could write that problem with the best hotels I have stayed in as people are noisy when they leave at 6.00 a.m. We received an upgrade to...

We found our room to be very good value for money at $130. It was very nice, large, comfortable, clean and well appointed. Very good location - walking distance to food and park. We had an upstairs balcony room - the balcony is miniscule and the sun beats in from the balcony, so we had the curtains closed until the...
