We wanted to do something different, instead of the usual modern hotel accommodation and chose Vacy Hall. What a gorgeous old home. Our bed was absolutely huge...no big t.v. and really big comfortable room. I loved the idea of little scattered antiquities throughout the room and also the house. In our room we had some long ladies gloves, mens shirtcollars,... More

The moement you enter the guest house you are taken back in time by the decor for that period, the wide verandahs, fixtures and fittings and not to mention the gardens. I had the pleasure to celebrate our 28th wedding anniversay by staying at this gusess house on 29/4/12 and both myself and my wife couldn't speak highly enough of... More

Vacy Hall was a Lovely Suprise for us...We are so use to the typical Hotel or Resort accommodation, which is usually quite nice, as we are very fussy...We discovered Vacy Hall through word of mouth and we absolutley loved it...The rooms are all set out so differant and the Beautiful smells throughout the house made me feel as if I... It was a pleasure to get away from it all, no technology just old world charm. No huge television on the wall, bed was so comfortable, hearty breakfast was HEARTY. Overall great value and I will be staying there again.

My mother and I loved our 2 night stay at Vacy Hall. The home is beautifully looked after, comfortable, warm and welcoming. Lovely soft towels and excellent comfortable beds. The wonderful period atmosphere was not spoilt by the intrusion of "mod cons" and we had everything we wanted. Very helpful people in Nicole and Graham, and the best porridge ever!

I know Vacy Hall is over 100 years old but there is no excuse for such a lousy mattress and a TV as small as a postage stamp and placed in a cupboard where it was almost impossible to watch. I know the comment will be that people don't come here to watch TV but if you ARE going to... More

Dear Maza, Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your recent stay at Vacy Hall. The issues you raise go to the essence of an authentic Historic Guesthouse experience. I grant you that the comfort level of a genuine antique timber bed with slats beneath the mattress will not emulate that of a modern inner spring... More

I stayed for a couple of nights while in town on business, and Vacy Hall was just my cup of tea. A grand and stylish historic building, conveniently located right in town, it felt a bit like a working holiday. The attention to detail in the decor really makes this place, and breakfast out on the timber verandah was a... More

I stayed overnight for a work conference and was so comfortable here. The beautiful house was just so warm and welcoming. The entrance was grand and walking down the hallway with Graeme felt like I was in another world. I stayed in the end smaller room and it was all I needed. The front bigger rooms will definely be on... More

We spent a delightful 2 night stay in this beautiful Historic House. Excellent Host who gave us a tour of this charming house and showed us into our delightful room that had its own seating area out on the verandah. This is where we were served breakfast. Everything about this stay was marvellous. The staff were so friendly and nothing... More

I love the scale of these old places! Vacy Hall is spacious and grand - the room was enormous, with a fireplace, a king-sized bed, several armchairs and comfy window seats. And there was a reasonable-sized en-suite as well. However the breakfast is served outside on the verandah, which is nice in the warmer climate of summertime Toowoomba, but doesn't... More
