Shocked to see negative reviews. I found the motel very comfortable which was very close to Mackay CBD. The customer services was top quality and very accommodating. It has everything needed from foxtell to washing machines. I ordered breakfast and experienced the best scrambled eggs I've tasted in many years. Thanks guys until next time, David

I am writing this review in response to the reviews posted on this website. I am the owner of The Coral Sands Motel and always utilise tripadvisor for my personal travel advice. Having said that I believe I should be able to defend my property against some of the negative comments it has received. It is an older motel that... More

Quite an old motel but very well kept and very new looking inside the rooms. The rooms themselves were immaculate with pristine white sheets. Large bathroom and rooms were also quite spacious. Undercover parking for most vehicles. A licensed Chinese restaurant is also on the premises and we enjoyed a great meal there.

Arrived late due to flights and stayed here at short notice. Carpark was built for minis and is ridicuosly small, wouldn't like to try and park a commodore or falcon there it would be near impossible. Room is very dated and basic. Curtains don't reach from one side of window to the other so room is very bright all night,... More

We had to stay here at short notice due to road closures further north, and were given an executive room. Room was clean and tidy, but lacked any extras like a hair dryer. Bed was OK for a night. Parking is off street but very tight, with little room for opening car doors etc, so expect dents and marks on... More

Great location in Mackay CBD. Parking is difficult. Restaurant onsite is Asian cuisine only. Dinner room service was tardy. Operators occasionally attentive.

I stayed one night in this hotel, things were broken the manager was rude, and very dismissive and accused me of stealing towels the police were involved only to find out the accusation was incorrect. I would never recommend this place to anyone considering staying here.

On arrival in this motel we were given keys for a SPA room. This room was located in a corner area, which was commonly used as a smoking area. On opening the door it was like going into the 'Black hole of Calcutta' The main reason for this being there was no window in the bedroom area. The only window... More

After a hard day I went to my room. It was old and dated BUT very clean. The air-conditioning was ICY COLD, the bed comfy, and the room had a huge spa bath. Value for money and I would stay here again
