Parking: limited "tight" garage places available under-cover (otherwise paid on street). Need to wait for reception staff to open garage (among their other duties). Friendly check in staff, lucky early check in so I got parking- then didn't move the car until checkout for fear of loosing our spot and being left with paid 4 hour parking on the street. Interestingly we read that the hotel survived the Newcastle earthquake and was a used response headquarters, the current owner is in the slow process of updating the hotel. Really disappointing stay for the money. The room was very hot. The glass sliding door was bolted shut so you could't get frsh air. The air conditioner was needed on all night, but it sounded like a 747. There was moul in the shower and stains on the bed sheets. Really diasappointed. More

The photos of the rooms listed on the Novocastrian website are very misleading. The room I stayed in was terrible, there were holes in the wall and the room had a funky stale cigarette smell. More
