After taking pot-luck in several Outback towns, it was a blessed relief to find somewhere welcoming, comfortable and reasonably priced. This isn't the Ritz and has no pretensions to be so. “Good bungalows”

Stayed at this motel for one night. On face value it didn't look overly special. However, we found that we had been booked into bungalows around the back and these were really good. I suspect that these were a fair bit better than the rest of the rooms but not totally sure. Not sure what these rooms are worth but... More

This is a lovely motel right near the main street of Dubbo. It's close to the main places such as Dubbo Goal and is only a 5 minute drive from the observatory and zoo. I have stayed at the Matilda many times on and off over the past 15 years on infrequent business trips. i have tried many motels in Dubbo but keep heading back to the Matilda because of their friendly service and great restaurant. Managers Wayne and Sylvia always treat guests as long lost family and they seem to pass this attitude... More
