We enjoyed our stay at Bazils Hostel from the moment we checked in until we said our goodbyes this morning. Fantastic facilities and cosy surroundings were enhanced by awesome tunes and friendly staff. Our room was clean and comfortable and the kitchen is superbly appointed. Stayed here just for night really, so can't comment on location etc. Stayed in a 6 bed dorm, which was comfortable, and heating was an added bonus. Communal kitchens were ok, basic and quiet small. Bathrooms were again ok, clean but small. Showers weren't amazing. Wifi wasn't cheap, but worked well.

Bazils is in a very central spot in Westport, so extremely easy for shopping and dining. The overall hostel is ok. Basically what you expect- dorms, showers and kitchen. However, it is quite overpriced for what you get! Also the bald guy at reception is exceptionally rude. Bazil's hostel is by far up there for top hostels in New Zealand - it's definitely my favourite.
