Nice hotel on the edge of the centre, in a quiet area, next to the lake; easy short walk to the main streets with shops and restaurants. Also next to a park with a big kids playground. Very comfortable, clean room with great beds. TV was quite small though, it's more a computer screen on which you can also watch... More

Great hotel in the center of Queenstown.. Check in was pain-less, the room was small and tidy.... Bed was comfortable...... Agree with comments about heating.. there was only a small fan heater in the room.. it was on thermostat but switch on and off through out the night... The layout of the hotel gives limited views of the lake, however... More

Dear Guest Thanks for your positive comments - it was good to hear that there were several aspects of your stay that you found to your liking - we try hard to make sure that all of our guests feel this way and appreciate the feedback. The Hotel does not get a lot of comments about noise and generally our... More

This is a delayed review of our experience at Novotel Queenstown Lakeside. We stayed at this resort in July during the ski season. Upon arrival of our room I found a pair of ladies underwear on the floor under the table. After notifying staff they said they would remove them straight away. When we came back from dinner the underwear... More

Dear Tankabell44 Thanks for your belated response to your stay in July 2011 and allowing us the opportunity to respond. It sounds as if there were a couple of issues during your stay and that these in part were dealt with by the Duty Manager in a positive way with the provision of a $50 food and beverage voucher and... This is a nice hotel, well designed and in the best location for access to downtown Queenstown. The rooms are comfortable and spacious but I have a question regarding their facilities. Queenstown is extremely cold in winter and my room only had a small wall heater and was very cold when coming back to the hotel after a day out.... More

Dear Kiwikid0 Thanks for your comments after your recent stay. We are pleased that you liked the design and location of the Hotel - these are certainly features that a lot of our guests react well to. It sounds as if there may have been some miscommunication in regards to heating around the Hotel. The public areas of the Hotel... More

We spent a couple of nights at the Novotel Lakeside, the room was lovely and roomy with good views, very clean and well furnished , the bed was soooo comfy. The Dinner in the restaurant was very enjoyable. The service was pleasant, but could be improved in the Dining side of things. Very central, to shops, bars etc. Would stay again.

We stayed here in April 2012, we had originally booked a superior room, when we got to check in we were told we needed 2 rooms as the infant couldnt share the bed and max occupancy is 4. so paid an extra $100.00 for adjoining rooms. the room itself is very nice and cozy. we had a balcony which when... I took my mother to Queenstown recently and we spent two nights at the lovely Novotel. The staff must be complimented on their wonderful attitude and friendliness, it made a good stay even better. We chose a premium room without the view as we figured we would see the Lake when we were outside exploring Queenstown. Our room overlooked the... More
