My 6 weeks spent at The Lab Queenstown were amazing!! Excellent location (5min walk to supermarkets, shops, pubs, lake...), nice people all around and available for you anytime :) I had one of my best Christmas Day there!!!

My friends and I stayed here over the New Years period. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The location was beyond perfect and the facilities were great for the backpacking scene. Exceeded our expectations. Would love to go back again.

I too was decieved by the images of the website. Hopelessly run down, rabbit warren of a place with many territorial backpacker residents who are grots. The two kitchens are a disgrace and whilst the mangers were helpful and enthusiastic - they too were backpackers themselves whose low standards of cleanliness set the tone.
