When our sister-in-law was able to schedule a brief visit to New Zealand ( her first) on a hectic round the globe business trip, we wanted her to have the optimal experience in the Queenstown area. Friends recommended Mt. Rosa Lodge. We are so glad we took their advice! Mt. Rosa Lodge is perfection from arrival to most reluctant departure.... More

We decided to try something different for a two night stay in Gibbston Valley. What absolute luck that we happened on Mount Rosa Lodge! We did not know what to expect from a boutique lodge and were blown away by the beauty of the place, the wonderful hosts, the meals and the best ever shower and bed we have ever... More

We just spent 3 nights of our South Island stay at Mt Rosa and it was pure bliss. Everything including the location at the top of the Mt Rosa vineyard was perfect for our honeymoon and much needed relaxation. Driving up to the lodge, you see rabbits along the bush, green vines and mountains. Everything was perfect, the Mt Rosa... More

This is my second stay at Mt Rosa. Just once is not good enough! It's hard to describe the exprience in words. First of all, the location is just stunning. Located in Gibbston valley away from the noise and crowd of Queenstown, the setting is truly picturesque! You'd want to go there again and again to recharge your mind, body... More

We just returned from 3 nights at Mt Rosa Lodge, the highlight of our trip to the South Island. Impeccably clean, unbelievable views, extremely welcoming hosts, a relaxing haven. Mt Rosa Lodge is in the Gibbston Valley, about a 10 minute drive to Arrowtown and a 20 minute drive to Queenstown. This is the perfect place to experience both the... More

We actually booked ourselves into another B&B for our honeymoon in Queenstown but due to some circumstamces (which I think is fate) we got recommended to Mt Rosa. I was abit hesitant but upon looking at the website and reviews on Trip Advisor decided to stay at this place. It definitely lived up to the great reviews I read. A... More

It was wonderful to have you stay for your honeymoon, although we had not been aware before you arrived that it was a only a couple of days after your wedding. How honored to share this time with you. When you get to imbibe of the 2009 Pinot Noir we would love to have your thoughts on that vintage. We look... More

Four days spent with Brian and Maureen helping with the harvest of their Pinot Noir grapes, a trek up Mt Rosa behind the lodge, exhausting but stunning views plus an amazing trip into Skippers Canyon to say nothing of the fine hospitality, food and wine we enjoyed throughout our stay. Top class accommodation . Hope to return next year! More

We stayed with Brian and Maureen in March. The lodge is amazing, as is the view, the rooms, and the food. These people really know how to make guests feel welcome, relaxed and well fed. Nothing is too much trouble and if you are interested in food and wine, then these guys are a veritable feast of information and knowledge! More

As we drove up through the vineyards, the sun shinning down on their autumn glory, we knew we were in for a treat. After a very warm welcome from Maureen we sat out on the terrace taking in the incredible view with tea and homemade biscuits. We ate there on our first night and after a glass of wine from... More
