It's on the quiet side of Queenstown but it's just 10 min walk from the city center. The owner is superb nice and had been very helpful in recommending local restaurants and activities. At night, when you look up from the house, you can even see the Milky Way! Best for family and couple exploring Queenstown!

This was our second trip to Queenstown and staying with Alex. We stayed in the Weir Apartment on our first trip and Alex made us more than comfortable. Coming back to Queenstown again we had to stay in the main house (Daniels apartment) and we had a lovely time. Serviced every day, anything we needed was taken care of straight... More

We spent three nights here while exploring Queenstown's sights and scene. Close to the hub but at the top of a hill so you're out of the hub-bub. Alex was easy to get hold of when we needed to, otherwise, we were on our own to enjoy the private elevated apartment and it's great kitchen, comfy bed, and spacious living... More

For a self catering boutique apartment, we were delighted. The building has character and is beautifully furnished with modern yet country classic style. Think the total opposite of chintz! We stayed for 2 nights in the one bedroom apartment at the top. The little decking area outside and lounge had great views over the mountain and gondola, and the whole... More

The apartment is spacious. With a comfortable living room, kitchen with almost everything, free wifi. We spent a wonderful night there before heading to Fox Glacier. An easy short walk to town centre where we had a wonderful dinner, supermarket, and the skyline. The bedroom is very comfortable and at the right temperature for a good night sleep. Yet, if... More

We stayed in the smaller apartment at the end. The jacuzzi was beautiful. Loved soaking in it while it rained, beautiful warm jets....that was nice. Alex, the host, was amazing. He knew the area well and had some great suggestions. I would definitely stay there again. There were two negatives. There is a steep hill to walk down to get... More

Our visit to Queenstown was made all the more memorable by our stay at Historic Stone House. After a hard day on the slopes, there's nothing better than returning to a warm, cosy and tidy apartment - just like coming home.

Three of us were very fortunate to secure 4 nights lodging in this 100+ year old house. The house has 3 bedrooms (2 ensuite) and 3 bathrooms. Every room was large, including the kitchen, dining room and the lounge. We were quite comfortable and if we had been staying for a longer time, we would have taken advantage of the... More
