Our team stayed here during the marching nationals, with some in the guesthouse and others in the motel units. The units were very clean and tidy with fresh white towels and extra milk readily supplied upon request. Those in the historic guesthouse were not quite so comfortable as this accommodation was of mixed quality, but the breakfast and lounge rooms were... My wife and I stayed here one night. Had prebooked as our first night in Dunedin. Huge upstairs room with ensuite in the guesthouse. Friendly, clean and helpful. Not full of flash modern appointments but reasonable cost and ammenities. The guesthouse part has a bit of character, don't know about the rest though only because we didn't stay there.

I had booked this accomodation on the strength of the website, and in this instance the camera did lie.. I should have known the setup was being run on a shoe string when the landlord greeted us in the guest house cold enough tokep meat fresh wearing a body warmer. To say my heart sank when I saw our accomodation is... More

Stayed here after the earthquake in Christchurch. Last minute booking. Stayed in the guesthouse which had a queen bed and shared toilet. Big and spacious. Clean. The TV was a computer screen and was a bit small for the room. Otherwise it was clean. Not that noisy although i remember hearing squeeks in the hallway (remember reading others saying that... More

We had a one night stay in the 'old Guesthouse' part of the complex. We had been 'upgraded' to one of the large rooms on the second floor overlooking the road. The room, which had an old world charm, was spacious and clean, containing a comfortable queen size bed as well as a single bed. Bed linen and towels were... More

This was budget accommodation on edge of CBD - a double room on top floor of original house. On arrival by bus we walked to a supermarket to get cooked food for tea. Taxi to building was $8 - too far to walk laden with foodstuffs plus luggage. Microwave/tea coffee/ fridge/cutlery/plates/salt pepper/papers available in ground level common room. Double bed... More

Good location closed to the center. Try to stay in the old villa. We had a very big room on the second floor. Even the house and the room are not very new, it has really its own charm. The windows are double glazing. If desired there's a breakfast possible. Parking drectly beside the house. Restaurants and shops are very... More

Motel rooms are faded but despite the age everything functions. Sound proofing is poor. Front desk tried hard but not very efficient. Poor value for money. Shame the fittings do not live up to the good maintenance.

Stayed two nights in the old motel. Both nights woken by guests above us coming home and stomping around. There is zero sound proofing. The decor is from the 70's, which is acceptable if it was clean, which it wasn't. The place also had a musty odour. The shower could not keep a constant temperature, and the toilet when flushed... The room was rather small but quaint. The owner, Brian was very friendly and helpful. Also, very concerned that guests get a good night's rest and would ensure that other guests do not disturb with late night noise/drinking etc. There is a lounge where tea, coffee, hot water are provided together with crockery. The lounge also has a tv, books... More
