Visited Christchurch in late Jan. 2012. Terrible problems in the city due to the earthquakes but the manager at the Salerno provided us with transportation for dinner, and great hospitality. The motel was also very nice. More

This motel is well located close to the sadly devastated city centre. Our room was very comfortable and attractively decorated. happily recommend to anyone. Saddest is the city which has far from recovered from the earthquake, so if you have limited time to explore South Island i would sadly recommend you give Christchurch a miss.
