This is a fantastic bed and breakfast! The staff are unbelievably friendly, cheerful and helpful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with nice amenities. I stayed with my husband for two nights at the beginning of our South Island trip and ended up staying two more nights at the end. We booked room #4 for both stays, the smallest... More

My wife and I stayed there twice this month during over visit to Christ Church. Once we were there when we came in and once when we left New Zealand. Our Host there Ms. Jan Derley was a very nice lady and very helpful. She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. The breakfast was very good,... More

It was easy to find by coming from the airport by car. We arrived late and it was after the business hours so the key to our room was arranged and we were able to get into our room without any problems. It is a beautiful building and we liked our room on the 2nd floor, not too spacious (especially... More

Very central location within easy walking distance of restaurants and tourist attractions. On the very edge of the "red zone" cordoned off area of the centre of this devastated city. It is comfortable, immaculately clean and the staff are most welcoming. Our downstairs room was very spacious with ensuite facilities and tea and coffee making equipment. An optional "meet your... Enjoyed a 2 night stay in this beautiful house while on our touring holiday in New Zealand. We had a lovely room on the ground floor with our bathroom across the hall. The lounge was a great gathering place in the evening where we were offered a glass of wine and a chance to meet up with our fellow guests.... More

Stayed January 2012. Two couples on two occasions. Lovely house and very friendly, efficient staff. Rooms well presented and spacious with good facilities. Spotlessly clean and nice personal touches in public areas. Breakfasts exceptional with home made extras (muffins to die for). Great location on edge of `red zone` and within 5 minutes walk of two good restaurants.Five minutes walk... More

We felt so welcome here, right from our arrival. Easy to find from the airport (20 mins) and private parking to boot! The house itself is lovely. Plenty of old world charm set against contemporary art on the walls. Our room was huge and comfortable, the breakfast was lovely and the location was central. Only tiny niggle was that the... More

We stayed here for a night prior to our flight home after 3 weeks in a camper! The building is beautiful and staff encourage you to treat it as your home. Breakfast is served in the dining room which is stunning and a top quality breakfast is offered. Orari is in an excellent location-a couple of minutes walk from the... More

We stayed for over a week in January and the rooms were lovely - tasteful and clean, and the service was excellent. The breakfasts were gorgeous - I hardly ever get up for hotel breakfasts but made a point of getting up for as many as possible at Orari and made my jet lagged guests get up too. They got... More
